  • For me it's soft shell crabs. My mom got them once at a restaurant and since I love seafood didn't think anything about trying it. Let's just say I this was as the first time I spit food out at a restaurant.

  • I know I'm weird for this but...sushi.  I try to choke it down but my brain won't stop shouting "RAW FISH, YOU'RE EATING RAW FISH LIKE A FUCKING SHARK."

That and cooked broccoli, it smells like a foot.

  • I can't do salmon. I know it's supposed to be so healthy, but it smells so fishy! Most meat tastes gross to me too.

  • Pickles.  I hate them so much!
  • Cilantro - taste like skunk to me... And I love mexican food!

  • Steamed spinach. Too slimy.

I like raw spinach in a salad or cooked with/in things like pasta.

I hate it too.  I can't eat Chipolte's rice because there is SOOO much cilantro in there.

Same with my husband.  He actually threw up after eating one!  It was pretty funny.

Ugh I know! I got to where I'll eat it if it's cooked, I just don't want more as a garnish.

My friend just posted an article on fb how hating cilantro is genetic.

@mana8503‌ I was just going to post that article! Lol

I absolutely hate celery, both the taste and the smell. If it's cooked in anything I will sit and pick out all the celery pieces! I have even tried smoother it with peanut butter or cream cheese and nothing helps.
  • I must be one of those people genetically predisposed to LOVING cilantro LOL. I'll take all the cilantro that everyone else picks out : )

  • Blue cheese.

I second liver.  I've had it once when I was maybe 7 or 8 and the taste of it is engraved in my mind!  It's the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten.  Also have to second blue cheese.  Who the hell ever came up with that needs to be punched in the throat.

@goatlady12 I may have to rethink our friendship.  I can forgive you for not liking cilantro, but PICKLES!  That might be a deal breaker...

@ramstein1027 I don't hate broccoli, but it's definitely not a top choice in the veggie department for me.  But, I do like broccolini.  Have you tried that?  It's more expensive, but tastes so much better!

  • @mrshall1027 you can just have all my pickles.  I'll just order them on the side.  lol!
  • The list is long.  I will just list the really bad ones.

Seafood, onions, mushrooms, avocado, celery, lamb, cooked carrots, dried fruit (like raisins, craisins, etc).  Just writing them down made me gag.
  • I can't stand peas. I like a lot of foods, and I can't do it. I hate the taste and texture. I pick them out of everything that has them.

Also, like @Ramstein1027, I can't do raw sushi. I can eat the daylights outta some cooked rolls, but my brain does the Gordon Ramsay "IT'S RAWWWWWWWWWW" screaming thing. I'm finnicky about that kinda stuff.

  • Mushrooms. 100% hands down.

Tomatoes are a close second, but I always feel weird saying that I hate them and yet enjoy sauces and ketchup as condiments.
