I confess that I've cried a lot this week. Work is really stressing me out. I'm training a newbie.... again! This is the forth one this year. The last one I trained was for a job I've never had, I just helped with a project for that team. Anyway, they decided that made me the appropriate choice for training. I'm not paid extra to train people.
I'm also really stressed out about my baby goat's leg. We've had 4 different vets look at it and one animal orthopedic surgeon. They kept changing their minds on the best course of treatment. It's been maddening because I just want them to do something. They apparently couldn't pin it because of they can't drill into the growth plate. I've attached a pictures of the xray. It's a pretty nasty break.
DH is also having a tough week at work and has been "on my case" about everything. I feel bad that my only reaction is to cry. We've been taking our bad weeks out on each other. Not a good thing, but I think it's normal to have a week of not getting along like you usually do. It's totally both of our faults for being jerks to each other, but it definitely isn't pleasant in my house right now. He made a comment about me doing laundry this morning and I just started crying. I told him that we have to say three nice things to each other tonight right when we get home from work, because I'm losing my mind.
Sorry for the long rant, I'm just really frustrated.
I'm sorry @goatlady I hope work gets better, your goat gets better, and that you and DH make it through the week without committing a homicide
I confess that I can't wait to get out of the 9-5 life and be a writer. How do people work in an office their entire lives??? I honestly have no idea. With writing, in 4 hours I can get a full day's work done (around 2,000+ words) and then do chores/errands. Our place would be clean again, and we'd have something other than baked chicken, brown rice, and salad for dinner every single night. I could even stay home with our kids.
Basically my confession is that every day I'm planning my escape.
I love my stepkids, but I'm tired. It's so much easier when I'm not 8 mons pregnant. It's gonna be really bittersweet when they go. But I'm also excited to be full on nesting mode. So much to do in 6 weeks!
@goatlady12 I'm so sorry you're having such a craptastic week. That break looks very similar to the break my pup had in December. They ended up just splinting it and letting it heal on its own. I hope they can figure out the appropriate steps to take soon! Go home and just love on your DH. Spend the night relaxing on the couch with some ice cream and netflix.

It sounds like that is what we have to do. I'm hoping for the best for him.
Ugh nvm... I just watched the croods last week... And the little guy going dun dun dun gets in my head when I'm scared my bs is high. Like right now, when I had a brownie and ice cream with lunch.
I now have 3 confessions after seeing @mana8503s post.
1. To me it looks like the guy in Manas picture is being inappropriately touched by an animal and I didn't understand what she was trying to get at until reading the second post.
2. For the second day in a row I forgot to put deodorant on. I did remember before I left the house but I was too lazy to go back upstairs so I dug some deodorant our of my gym bag instead. Both days...
3. I went to Rita's Italian Ice at lunch today and got a large sundae with peanut butter sauce and chocolate chips. When I told DH (who's home sick today) that I was going there, he says "but they don't have food." I said "well they have ice cream." I mean what more could you want, right?
I confess that I have an unhealthy amount of hatred for this paper submission process! It's the same publication that I've been talking about for weeks! My old advisor FINALLY emailed be back, after I sent a bitchy email yesterday...BUT, I was able to skip ahead in the submission portal and found another 2 major issues. Let's hope that it doesn't take another week to find some answers!
SCIENCE IS HARD!
I should have been like @minionlover and had ice cream for lunch...ice cream makes everything better!
@goatlady12 I cried for most of yesterday afternoon. It was a super hormonal cry that I couldn't stop. I was hoping it would shoot this kid out, but no such luck.
@mana8503 I can only imagine how tired you are after having your step kids. I only spend a few hours with my niece and nephew and I can barely hold my head up. Not sure if I'd make it through a week.
I confess that I want to confess something, but I just don't have anything.
I confess that I expected H to help around the house more since I've been sick for several days. I feel like he takes all the work I do for granted sometimes.
I confess that the last few weeks have put me in one of those "don't take things for granted" and "you never know what will happen tomorrow" moods. I really wish it would stop because then I just feel upset afterwards.
I also confess that all these posts have made me want ice cream. But I'm not sure if I can wait for H to get off work.
@ramstein1027 hahahaha your gifs never disappoint!! Ellen even showed one of Nelson last week during one of her segments!
This is more of an FYI for the pregnant gals rather than a confession....I cried a decent amount when I was pregnant but wayyyyyy more after! These post baby hormones are no joke!!
I confess that today was the first day of work with kids and it went so much better than I expected. While I'm more excited about this bunch, I'm still not sure I want to keep going back day after day....
I also confess that yesterday one of my teammates came in and we had a chat about she feels like I'm talking over her and not letting her get her stuff out and that was our problem last year that caused issues. She told me she feels like we're friends now in addition to co-workers which is why she wanted to bring it to my attention. I'm glad she did because it wasn't intentional at all and she realized that, which is one reason she did, and now I can focus on working on the issue. I know I'm a loud and opinionated person, but I didn't realize it was getting in the way. So I confess that I'm embarrassed and ashamed that we've had to have this conversation more than once. I haven't mentioned it to anyone else.
@DanaOCNY i didnt cry near as much during as I did after. I think one day post baby i just sat on my bed and cried, for no reason, just cried! ugh hormones!

I know it's now Friday. DH had softball last night and I told him I wouldn't watch Big Brother without him. I totally did, it was double eviction and I just don't have the will power! I'm not going to tell him I watched it.

@ramstein1027 - Love the shawshank redemption gif!
It sounds like that is what we have to do. I'm hoping for the best for him.
