  My grandma had a stroke last week so I feel like it is really important to get there for a visit. We are all going and yes staying with mom.

  Thanks Jen. She is doing ok, already in a rehab center. I feel bad for my mom. She is nervous about if she will be able to live on her own anymore.

  She might have a chance.  Otherwise there is always the option of having someone come in for a few  hours a day to help out with things.  I think they can be pretty reasonable.  I was one in high school and college. I had 2 people who had strokes.

  No, I didn't for fear that I would come acroas as a bad employee. Want to make a great first impression. We are thinking of skipping the cruise and just flying down to Nassau, Bahamas and staying Wed-Sun. I would only have to take Wednesday off since we get Thursday and Friday off for the teachers convention.

  Ahh, yes. The infamous teacher's convention weekend...

  I ended up finding a flight for 3:50 on Wednesday so now I won't have to take off of work at all. We booked it. I am very happy.
