1996

I was reading this article in our local twp newsletter about a graduating high school senior; who was born in 1996.   Is that crazy to anyone else that 1996 was 18 years ago?!?!   There are now "adults" who were born in 1996?!?! I think I'm stuck in a time warp or something because when I think of the late 90's/early 2000's, I think it was only a few years ago.

Re: 1996

  • Yep - I get it. I have that same reaction every year when the new freshman data comes in and I see the year they were born. It still gets me every time!
  • My co-worker (who has been out of a college now 2 years) was born in 1990.   The same year that I turned 16.   Also, I graduated from college in 1996.
  • Agree completely!! I'm freaked out that this year's freshman who do the musical I work with were born in 2000. WHAT?!

  • Oh man, 96. I was a freshman in high school, it seems like just yesterday! How was that almost 20 years ago?
  • I can't say it totally shocks me. 1996 was when I got my kitty as a sophomore in college...and she turned 18 this year. If she lives to 19, I will have lived with her longer than I lived with my parents!

  • It's crazy to think about. Casey and I started dating in 1996.
