  I'm thankful that my eyes were making tears yesterday! I know it sounds strange, but I've posted about my eye issues a few times here. I have some issues with my corneas, and wasn't allowed to wear contacts / was on steroid drops for a year and 1/2. I also have very dry eyes which doesn't help the cornea situation. As of a month ago, I'm allowed to wear contacts for short periods of time now to workout and for special occasions.

  
  

  About 2 weeks ago, my eyes were so dry that it was really painful. I couldn't sleep and was dumping artificial tears in my eyes. I had a regularly scheduled appointment with my cornea specialist the next day, and he thought I was having an allergic reaction. It was probably seasonal allergies because I didn't wear contacts for a few days, wasn't wearing makeup, etc. After that appointment, I started taking claritin daily to reduce the allergic response, fish oil and flaxseed oil for omega fatty acids (research shows that it helps), and he told me to do a 5 day course of steroid drops to quiet things down.

  
  

  I had a follow up contact lens exam yesterday, and my eyes were actually making their own tears! They staff couldn't believe my improvement in a little over a week! They literally asked, "what the hell have you been doing to be this much better". I told them about my flax/fish oil, the claritin, the short steroid course, and willing my eyes to make tears LOL. Plus, I had to wear contacts to this exam and wearing contacts provides moisture (but wearing them too much makes my cornea situation worse...it's a catch-22).

  I am thankful that I had a doctors appointment yesterday morning. Before I got back to work there was an emergency conference call that lasted from 12:30 until about 4. Everyone else had to skip lunch but since I came in late I had already eaten. I think I would have died of starvation if I was in the office the whole day.

  I'm thankful that so far my auto immune disorder is still in remission.  My year mark from diagnonsis is in less than a month.  I'm super nervous about allergy season this year, because that is when it flared up last time.  I'm staying positive, hopeful and thankful that it's been almost a year and my kidneys have healed.

  I'm thankful for being able to close on our land yesterday!  We now own 3 acres!!

  
  

  Also, thankful for @goatlady12 for feeling comfortable enough to let me know about her intuition on the last lot we almost got.  This was such a better deal and if she would have never said anything, I don't know if I'd have been comfortable walking away from that last one.

  @mrshall1027 I'm so glad I told you.  I'm still a litle bit guarded about all of this.  Honestly, I don't think I could have kept it from you.  The feeling was like being nagged.  I opened up your post, I immediately felt a male presence and the words, "bigger and better" just kept repeating in my head, and it did not go away until I messaged you.  I didn't even read the original post until after I messaged you.  I'm glad it all worked out and it's helped me to tell more people when I get that nagging feeling.  So I'm thankful for that experience as well.

  Oh my gosh, I just got the chills reading that!  My husband kept saying that same thing "there's something bigger and better out there."  Crazy!

  I'm thankful H is home tonight. I feel like we haven't had alone time, with having the kids, him taking them back alone, work is crazy and we had our classes... I just want to cuddle up with him tonight. I feel like our days of just us two are numbered and I need to enjoy it. Enjoy tonight because he'll be gone tomorrow night, again. I hope they know in 2 weeks he's not allowed below Baltimore!

  I'm thankful for our great home. It's been a great distraction and it really is amazing. I've been trying to have dinner or cocktails out on the balcony during sunsets this whole week as a reminder of how lucky we are to be in this position.

  I am thankful for the lactation consultant yesterday, who was amazing!  She not only got O to latch, with no problem, in about 3 minutes, she also gave H and I so much more confidence about breast feeding.
  
  And the problem with latch wasn't me or O, it was the hospital.  They taught us to do things pretty much completely wrong.
