Did you ever want to change your name to something different? What was it?

Yes I did. I hated that people always called me Christine tried to shorten Christina. I didn't know what I'd rather my name be, but I just wanted a different one. Oh, and I should mention I have a brother named Christopher...laaaaaame.

My mom told me that when I was little I begged her to change my name to Kimberly LOL. I don't remember this at all!

Only when I was one of 3 Amandas in a class of 12. On my local board there's maybe 10 really active posters, 3 of us are Amanda. Seriously?! Well one mandi but it's close enough.

I don't know what I'd change it to. I love I'm named after a country song, and an instrument when paired with my middle name (Lynn)... Still annoying. Thus me wanting a traditional, but not popular name for our baby.

I don't think I ever wanted to change my name. At least nothing comes to mind.

@mana8503 I feel your pain. There was usually at least 1 other Nicole in all my classes. In one of my high school classes, there were 4 Nicoles...3/4 were Nicole Marie (no, I didn't have the odd ball middle name either)!

I love more classic names too, but I feel like a lot of them are becoming popular names now. I've always loved the name Sophia, but now that's the #1 girl's name...grrrrr!

Not really. I like my name. There were a few other girls with the same name in my grade, but it wasn't bad.

In 6th grade I wanted to change the spelling of my name to Dayna, to many teachers kept calling me Dan-a! In 8th grade I wanted to change my name to Blaze. Not sure why but I insisted everyone call me Blaze!

I've been watching the popular name lists hoping Eliza doesn't pop up. I think we're good. When I tell people they say "oh you don't hear that one often". Yup, I know!

I wouldn't be surprised if Sophia is popular now because of teen mom.

I wanted to change my name because it's difficult for people to pronounce, but now I love my name. It's still a PITA when people can't say or spell it correctly.

I never seriously wanted to change my name, but when I was 4 I insisted I would be called "Rose Tea Bag"....not sure why!! haha. One of my mom's friends even wrote me a letter addressed to Rose Tea Bag.

I always liked my first name, but wasn't too big on my last name due to spellings/mispronounce issues. I don't believe I ever wanted to change it.

The only time I ever hated my first name was high school.
Growing up, I was one of a class of almost 14 or 15 kids in grade school. It was very personal and we all knew each other.
Fast forward to high school with a class of 125ish. Somehow in my freshman year world geography class, I wound up being one of three Sara(h)'s AND we all sat near each other due to spelling: Sara K., Sara L. and Sara M.--which was me.

Hated getting randomly called on and us just awkwardly looking at each other as if to say, "which one?!"
