Things to do in Niagara Falls...Ready, Go!

DH and I have planned a mini-vacay for early October and since he's never been to the falls, that's where we're headed. We're staying on River Rd on the Canada side and have tickets for Maid of the Mist on the way up.

Any suggestions for touristy or non-touristy things? We're going to do dinner at Hard Rock and Planet Hollywood because apparently my DH lives under a rock and has never been to either of those either.

  • The first thing I would do is leave Niagara Falls ;)

Seriously though, Niagara on the Lake is a beautiful town about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls.  There are also a million awesome wineries in the area.

In Niagara Falls you'll also find lots to see and do wandering around the falls and around Clifton Hill.

  • I would definitely do the wineries. Grab a bottle of ice wine for after baby is here. Or while pregnant. Whichever you prefer.

  • I would recommend the hiking trails.
