  • @sgautschi... Yikes about your pup ! Glad to hear he's ok. We usually give Benadryl which seems to help too in case you run out of prednisone and it happens again (FX that's not the case tho!).

It was scary for sure, it happened so fast. I heard him yelp, had DH bring him inside and by that time his face was already starting to swell. A few minutes later the crazy breathing started. Last time it came on much slower. I'm going to have the pest control company spray a few extra times for spiders (we have a bunch of vines in the back yard so I think there is some type of spider living in there that he's super allergic too). Benadryl is definitely a good back up, but it barely did anything last time so I didn't think to even try it this time. Although as an only resort I would definitely use it.

Anything else you would like to add or PIP? TMI here but who has good recommendations to beat constipation? I feel so bloated and yucky all the time and I'm sure this is at least partially the culprit.
I meant to respond to this earlier, but my go-tos are making sure I'm taking in enough healthy fat (avocados, fish, fish oil etc) to help things move along smoothly, as well as drinking lots of water.  If things get backed up, I take a magnesium supplement (Natures Calm - powder you add to water) on the advise of my naturopath.  I take it at night and in the morning I'm usually good to go. Good luck! I suffer chronically, but I think part of it is just first tri hormones messing with your system and adding to the bloat.  This too shall pass!

How many weeks are you? 33w3d

    When is your EDD? 10/4

    How are you feeling? great!

What are you craving? not much

What is grossing you out? not much :)

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately? YES! We had our shower this weekend and got tons of stuff!!! Just need a crib mattress and sheets...we got almost everything else, and of course tons of clothes!

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? next Friday, regular 2 week check up

Have you / will you found out the sex? no

    Any names picked out? yesw

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes? FINALLY cleaned it out....just in time for the shower to fill it...but DH hasn't had a chance to paint it so tons of stuff from the shower just got shoved in the office. He'll probably paint tomorrow or Thursday, then I can spend my last two days of summer vacation putting the room together!!!

Anything else you would like to add or PIP? we had our maternity photos Friday, I'll share in an AW post when we get them! AND it was my birthday yesterday! 29!!! DH took me to hibachi, mini golf, and ice cream.

Today I went to lunch with my mom, and DH's mom and step dad...I LOVE attention and my mom made sure to tell them 50 times it was my BDay...and the server forgot. (it's a place where they sing to you etc. I know most adults hate this...I love it and have NEVER had it happen...so I was looking forward to it)...so they all had to go back to work, my mom tracked down the waitress TWICE just to get the bill...then they come out with a melty ice cream Kahlua cake in a to-go box (great...caffine and alcohol...haha DH will like it...I hate coffee/Kahlua anyway, now I sound like a brat, but I just want to vent. sorry this just got so stream of consciousness.) They then spend 5 min apologizing for forgetting and not singing.  In that time they could have just done the whole singing thing! Then...I cried. I couldn't help it! I know I'm not five but the sad to go container and everyone was late back to work b/c of me, then my mom felt bad b/c she knew I really wanted them to sing, and we went there specifically because of this...it was a disaster....Thanks for reading if you got this far.
