What are your plans for the week?

Re: What are your plans for the week?

  • Enjoy my last week of vacation by going into work a few times...

I'm going shopping today and having my hair cut.
I'll probably go kayaking once this week.
Back to the gym a few times after falling off the wagon.

  • Work is going to be long this week...especially Tuesday and Wednesday where both days I get to drive to a jobsite and work outside.

Thursday I have a dentist appointment and have to get a filling. Adjacent to another filling in the same tooth. Which means lots of drilling. I am not amused. I hate my mouth.

    Friday - Nothing exciting yet.

  • DH is working doubles all week so when he's home, he'll be sleeping so I'll be busy with the puppy, cleaning, grocery shopping, and trying to prepare for our house warming party on the 31st. I have a going away party for a friend on Thursday and we're trying to go to the minor league baseball game that night as well. I'm excited for the weekend to get here so I can sleep and it's only Monday...

Today is our anniversary and we're debating on whether or not to go out to dinner or work on the house then lounge in the pool. Oh, and there's homemade white chocolate raspberry cheesecake setting up in the fridge at home.  I may or may not have eaten a few spoonfuls of the delicious batter last night while making it.

Tomorrow night we're going to H's grandpa's for family dinner.

The rest of the week is just house projects and getting crap done on our to-do lists.  Fun stuff.  Hopefully some pool time in there if the weather gets as warm as they're predicting.

With everything going on I've really been slacking with the gym the last couple of weeks so hopefully I'll start to feel better and can get back to the gym later this week.  Other than that I'm excited that The Quiet Ones comes out on Redbox tomorrow so I might rent that on Friday.

Also, I can totally relate to the house projects/pool debate.  I have voted that house projects are on hold until October and/or rainy days only. Summer is too short up here not to enjoy the pool as much as possible!

    It's this.  http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/White-Chocolate-Raspberry-Cheesecake/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=white%20chocolate%20raspberry%20cheesecake&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page&soid=sr_results_p1i1
Not going to lie, I had to put a knife in it while it was baking last night and it wasn't finished yet.  So I licked the stuff off the knife.  How I didn't cut it into half and bring it to work today for lunch, I really don't know.  It tasted amazing.  Not too rich with the white chocolate or raspberry, yet was the perfect blend of the cream cheese tartness.

We're on full blown house projects right now instead of pool time.  It's been chilly here though, and the pool water hasn't been over 80 in 3 weeks.  So I pretty much just clean it and put the cover back on. :-(  It's supposed to be in the high 80's, low 90's this week.  So hopefully it will warm up enough to get in.

  • Happy Anniversary @brij2006!

We have a normal week. Working, cleaning the flat, working on my dissertation. Our anniversary is next Monday, but we don't have anything planned yet. I'm sure we'll do a nice dinner this weekend? Probably.

  • Happy anniversary, Brij! Today was lots of driving, a few hours of sightseeing in Philly, and of course dinner with Lucky. Tomorrow is about twice as much driving, then an evening run. The rest of the week will be spent getting ready for school/teaching to start next week.

Yesterday was just working from home and meeting up with Apollo for a bit in the evening.
Today I'm working from home again and then have a haircut and eyebrow wax scheduled.
Tomorrow I actually have to go into work, but it'll be my last commute in for a few months. :)
Thursday and Friday, more working from home.
No solid plans this weekend, other than hopefully getting my SM over here with the steam cleaner to attack the dining room carpet, which the cat has trashed this summer. Blech.
