SuBC memoir by a woman you admire: Persepolis
Persepolis is a memoir of a woman who grew up in Iran during the Islamic revolution. It is written as a graphic novel (graphic memoir?) which added an interesting dimension to the story. I don't know very much about the history of Iran and enjoyed learning more about that and about what it is like for women there. The art was good, but didn't add as much to the story as I was hoping.
Overall I gave it three stars. It was interesting and I'm glad I read it but it didn't make a huge impact on me.
