So I might need an RE???????

I'm hearing that I should maybe see an RE and not an MFM.  This is all foreign to me, so can you tell me what's the difference?  Also...can you recommend an RE?  I'd hate to just throw a dart and call one.

Re: So I might need an RE???????

  • from my understanding an RE specializes in getting you pregnant and keeping you pregnant early on. The MFM is a specialization that deals with high-risk pregnancies (multiples for example) and care for the mother as well as the fetus. I do not  have any recomendation for either however.
  • First, I am sorry for your losses!  I am not familiar with that side of infertility, but an RE can certainly help with recurrent losses.

I go to RHS and I would definitely recommend them.  There are 3 Dr.'s that practice there - I go to Dr. Kubik, who I absolutely love.  I've also had experiences with Dr. Albert and Dr. Erb, and both were positive.  Their staff of nurses, etc. are also amazing.

I have also heard wonderful things about the group at Magee (Dr. Wakim, Sanfilippo, etc.)

    Good luck to you!
