Back to school

Can't believe classes are starting already! This summer went by WAY too fast.

Monday we just have "orientation" where we're going through our program/clinical handbooks. So boring from 8-4. Boo. Tuesday my classes actually start. It will be a long day.

We had a great time in VA over the weekend!! Traffic sucked ass getting there, it took us almost 9 hours and it's really only a little over 6. We came home a different route and it took us about 8 so still a long time, but that includes us stopping three times. Could have been worse. It was great seeing my best friend and Jason had a blast at the beach so it was a great trip!

How was you alls weekends??

Re: Back to school

  • Hola. I am glad you had fun at the beach this weekend. I am not surprised there was a lot of traffic everyone is trying to get in their last hurrah.

Good luck with school! I am excited for you :-)

My weekend was pretty good. Nothing terribly exciting to share though. I do wish I had gotten to be a recluse on Saturday but that didn't happen.

  • Our weekend was good, but I am tried! We went back to Buffalo to attend the county fair on Friday. We had a good time and ate too much, haha! Sat. had lunch with my parents and grandparents to celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary! Pretty amazing when you think about it. I got my hair cut, dad made my favorite dinner and we went home. Sun. We slept into 9 which never happens and went to the Hunter Hayes concert at night. It was a good concert. He is very talented.

Tonight my cousin is playing at the A or AA baseball stadium so we are meeting my family there. The game doesn't start to 8pm so it is going to be another late late night. It should be a good time. I hope they win or at least he plays well.

Glad you had fun in VA JLQ! The beach is usually a good time. Good luck with this school semester!

Glad you had a good weekend as well Aggie.

  • Running through with a rage filled post that I need to vent about. I am so freaking tired of the bullshit at work.  The rumor mill is so outrageous and many are started to cause trouble for those they don't like its insane.  I am so flipping fed up with the petty behavior of these grown women I am about to explode on them.  There are about 5 people who I care about and respect at work the rest can just get out of my life.

Unfortunately that is now how having a job goes.  raaaaage.  I mean to the point that if I wasn't going to become a SAHM in 6 mo that I would quit and then find a new job I am so done.  DOOOOONE.

ps you know it must be bad when I have to adjust my post to limit cus words.  I rarely cuss.

  • I tried to post earlier like 90 times from the ipad but it wouldn't let me. Things a piece of poo!!

Degrea - I'm jealous of the concert! I bet that was tons of fun!!

Aggie - BOOOO for your coworkers! I commend you for your self control because I would likely explode on them. You can vent here any time!!
That's one thing I'm not looking forward to about working in a hospital is the gossip and pettiness.

Today was super boring. We literally just went through the program manuals. Tomorrow starts my actual classes, and it will be a long day! I have class from 9:30-5:30 with two hour long breaks in there.

  • Thanks!! I'm nervous!! My first class is lab! I hate that! It's Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning lab. Then an hour break followed by lecture, then I have Principles of Radiographic Exposure then a half hour break then Intro to Radiographic Image Processing.  Ya long day!!

  • Good afternoon ladies! I am wicked tried today and feel like I have put through the ringer! Work is crazy busy and I am not sure where to start so I am on here. Seem liked the best place to start, haha!

Sorry work is so yucky right now Aggie! Gossip is annoying, especially when it is mean gossip. Only a few more months. Also I didn't know you were going to be a SAHM. Feel free to vent anytime. And no worries about the cussing. I swear more than a sailor!

Good luck at school. Sounds like a busy day of classes! Do you have any days that are free? Are you still working part time? Either way we know you will kill it!

  • I am still working. I have actual classes on Tues/Wed/Thur and Mon/Fri are clinical days where we're in the hospital, so I don't have any days with nothing. I think I may need to drop my Monday night shift at work, but I plan to keep everything else. I have most of my classes on Tuesdays so I'll need Mondays for studying and junk.

  • Degrea I hate those das where you have so much to do you can't even see where to start. I hope you can wade through it and make progress. (or should I say I hope you have since the work day is hopefully over for you!)

Yeah I have been super quiet about staying at home so far. As much as I share here I am super terrified that someone I know is lurking and will tell my boss. I guess I don't care any more if they know because that requires caring about my job and their business :-P.

Jlq I am impressed with you school and work load. I never worked while taking classes ( my dad out himself through college doing that and didn't want his kids to do the same) and it always impressed me those that worked and studied. Especially in vet school.

  • Aggie I'm so excited for you to get to stay home when the baby comes!! That will be so so wonderful!! I would love to me a SAHM someday. I keep telling J he needs to go back to school to become a fancy engineer so I can do that! hahah!!

When I went to college before I worked, but I only have a work-study job during the semester so I worked a max of 10 hours a week. I did some babysitting also for my one professor so I earned extra that way, but it was no where near what I'm doing now! It's definitely hard. It was easier last year because A&P was really the only class I needed to put much effort into, but my classes are already a lot of work (I had to read 3 chapters tonight for just 1 class, and do 7 worksheets), so I may be reducing my work load by quite a bit. I can't not work, though, we can't afford it.

  • Good Morning Pretty Ladies! I waded through the day yesterday and didn't accomplish a thing. Today I have meetings all day. So work will have to wait. Haha!

Kouddos to you JLQ! Working well going to school is tough. I did that with my masters and I was so glad when it was over. You schedule makes me tried just thinking about it. It will be worth it when it is over. Also side note engineers don't make that much money. I know lots of teachers that make more than me.

I am glad you can be a SAHM! I don't think I could do it. Yeah for you!

  • Those are some shoes! I like the color. But I could never wear that high of a heel. Go her!!

Anyone watching the Little League game?! I was watching the Nevada/Pennsylvania game tonight at work. The PA team has that girl pitcher. It was fun to watch, but I don't think the PA team is going to win.

  • PA lost last night. I haven't been watching it this year but I knew about the girl pitcher.

Those are the shoes I will be wearing as well. We will all be wearing them. I don't own a pair of heels so it will be interesting lol!

Hope you all have a lovely day! Only two more till the weekend!

  • Oooh I could never walk in those shoes! haha!! If I were you I'd practice as soon as I got them.
Has she started looking at dresses yet?

I figured PA would lose. They were behind 3 runs when I left work last night and when I looked last before getting in bed Nevada had 8 runs so I figured they wouldn't come back from that.

  • She is going Labor Day weekend to look at dresses. I will let you know what she decides.

Yea I am going to have to pratice a lot to walk in those shoes. But I can do it. It won't be fun but I will survive. It's just for ceremony and pictures right?

Cut up to my chin in a bob. Nothing fancy. Maybe next time. haha!

  • Ooooo JLQ sounds like a great end of summer do. I went out last night after work for a beer. Next thing I know it's 10 o'clock. Whoops! I was like guys it's 10 we all have to work tomorrow, haha! It was a good time though.

This weekend we have the Zac Brown concert. I am looking forward to it! Really looking forward to it. But I am not looking forward to getting out of the concert. I here it's bad, boo! Than we will help my parents replace their microwave because it broke.
