Random discovery + how was your weekend?
Let's start with your weekend. Did you have a good one? H and I went to a wedding on Saturday that I knew would be a disaster simply by the invitation. It was just a save the date card stating that no RSVPs were necessary and this WAS our invitation. It was a 6 p.m. reception only. (private ceremony was first). So I'm thinking full dinner. It was four kinds of apps in a buffet line only, and there were about 120 people there and four tables of 8 each. By the time we got there, half the food was gone and there was no place to sit. I wore heels and stood for 2 hours. My pregnant ass was not happy. I drove through Burger King on the way home and was very upset.
Anyway, yesterday I was bopping around on the Bump boards and went into the Chit Chat room. I'm really only a lurker over on TB. Well, it seems to be that the Chit Chat room is just one huge nerd hive about the band One Direction. Every single post is about One Direction. I urge you to go take a look and wonder ... WTF.
Re: Random discovery + how was your weekend?
On another note, sorry to hear the wedding you went to was such a bust. I have to admit, I probably would have passed on the whole thing if I was given an invite to the reception, but not the ceremony. I side eye people that are willing to invite guests to come party and give them gifts, but not to actually witness the marriage part.
This was my last weekend of freedom *sniffle* Back to school this week! I went into work on Saturday to get stuff ready for orientation today. Sunday I got some cooking and cleaning done and then sat around enjoying it.
We worked hard on our backyard all weekend since we are having a Couples Shower BBQ this weekend. Poor hubs did a LOT of stuff on his own as a friend flaked on helping out. I even helped paint our fence a little and helped clean up leaves, etc. Tomorrow is my work shower and I already made cute little mason jar pedicure kits for the hostesses inspired by Pinterest. Still need to complete gifts for this weekend's shower though.
I have not been on The Bump, but have been reading the What to Expect Boards. Wow - discussion on One Direction only? Weird. :-)
