  • Whine: I'm exhausted and it's only 11:15. Yeay for getting dirty and smelly first thing in the morning and then having to sit in an office the rest of the day.

Win: DH got his car back yesterday. Also, the insurance company for the other driver that caused an accident where DH was hit while in the rental for the dumb deer is going to pay the deductible for the rental car AND pay all medical expenses and some time off that DH has had to take because he's sore. :)

Whine: I have to get a filling tomorrow in a tooth I already have a filling in.

Win: I'm going to happy hour tomorrow with some local Nesties and may be going to a 2000's dance party in DC Friday night with more local Nesties. :)

  • Whine: I have to spend an exceptionally long time with my MIL today even though I specifically said I wanted to do NOTHING today.

Win: we are going lobster fishing so maybe I can knock her overboard.... Kidding... Kind of. My real win is that I get to have a lobster dinner tonight to celebrate!

Whine: I doubt there will be desserts tonight and if there are it's going to be cake from a bakery I hate.
  • Whine: I'm definitely getting a cold and they always start so slooooooooooow. Scratchy rough throat for 2 days and then the congestion kicks in and hangs out for 4-5 days. Day 3 right now, so still have the yucky throat and starting to feel the congestion setting in. Blah.

Win: I have lots of birthday money and gift cards to go spend.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Whine: My eyes are red, itchy, watery and driving me crazy.  I've never been able to figure out what it is.  It happens at different times of the year, at different locations, etc.  My Grandpa always carried a Kleenex and dabbed his eyes a lot, so it could be hereditary.

Win: I had the MOST amazing dessert last night.  It's called "Tempura crispy-sticky toffee pudding".  It was a piece of loaf (some kind of bread that was sweet), dipped in tempura and deep-fried, covered in peanut butter and fleur de sel caramel.  Jesus it was good.

  • Whine: I actually did start my period. Not mid-cycle spotting. Gah.

Win: I am going to try Softcups. Here's hoping they're better than pads and tampons. I also discovered that I found it really funny to plop these down on the counter to the 18yo-ish male cashier and have no embarrassment. He, however, turned bright red.

  • Whine: I am having a miserable day at work, and I'm upset with myself because I gave a customer the power to ruin my day.

Win: We are getting our new bed delivered this weekend. I'm pretty pumped about that!

LOL at the cashier! And also, I LOVE Softcups! SOoooo much better than tampons, which already beat out pads every single time for me. I hope you love them! Give them a couple of tries before deciding for/against; insertion technique can take a little getting used to. Also, a pantyliner (just in case) on your first couple of heaviest days isn't a bad idea.

I've heard great things about the Diva Cup, so I figure that I'll try these before making the investment. Thanks for the review! I hate tampons and pads!

This!  Love those things!  They definitely make the first couple of days much more bearable.  Agree with Lucky though, wear a pantyliner until you get the hang of them.  Once  you do you will wonder how you ever went without.
