Is it weird to turn around in a driveway when the occupants of the house are outside?

    If it's in town and there are other driveways to choose from, then yes.  If it's in the country where you'll drive another mile or 2 before getting to a house, then no.

    I don't think it matters unless you pull all the way in to have to turn around. That drives me crazy. 

    Or of course, if they are in/using the driveway at the current time.

    No real story. People freaking always turn around in our driveway when we are outside. We live in a first ring suburb (think 1950 GI bill houses), and our backyard and our front yard are both on streets and those streets connect. We are the fifth or sixth house on the road. I don't know why it drives me nuts, but I think it is weird. H says that it is weird that I think it is weird. When I turn around, I look for a place that looks like nobody is home.

    My house has a 300 ft driveway off the road and I have people who will pull down my driveway to turn around. Now THAT is just weird to me... It doesn't look like a street, it clearly has a house number at the front of the driveway and a private drive sign 100 feet in...

    I live in a cul-de-sac so it would be weird if people turned around in my driveway. I generally try to choose a house that looks like no one is home if I can.

    My dog will bark at cars he doesn't recognize but it's more annoying because our living room window is a huge window and overlooks the front yard so we see them and they see us. "Hiii!"

    That would be really weird. I rarely have to use a driveway to turn around, but when I have done it, I've never picked a driveway with people around outside. That is bizarre.

    Same. Except I usually just turn around in the street or turn down a street and make a circle back to where I need to go.

    I think it is weird, but being from a rural community i can see turning around at a farm or something of that sort...I usually just go to the next street.
