3T Check in!

If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude some ladies, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC=3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption or have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What’s going on, etc. Let's hear all about it!

QOTW: When you were a kid, did you typically look forward to or dread the first day of school? What was your favorite part? Least favorite part?

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules):

Re: 3T Check in!

  • Update - nothing really. FF gave me CHs which is seriously laughable because there is absolutely NO indication of O on my chart. It made me gigglesnort when I saw that. Hoping to move forward in the next 6 months, but really, we'll see.

QOTW: I both loved and hated it. I loved meeting the new kids (very small school and we got maybe 1-2 new kids a year). I hated not being 110% sure where I was going on the first day. I am a planner and like to know exactly where to go and where to sit in advance, even now to this day.

  • Only real update is that I've told MIL, SIL, and DH's Aunt about my having PCOS yesterday.  SIL I told because I was tired of her constantly bugging us about when we were going to have kids.  MIL was very sweet about it, especially the dieting part.  She had known I was trying to do a low carb / low sugar diet (but not why) and bought some low carb wraps for me to eat at their house.

QOTW:  I generally didn't look forward to it.  Every year it was getting to know you games where you had to say something in front of the class, which I absolutely loathe.  Aside from that, I was just generally always anxious on the first day.

  • Not much here. I am considering going back to school, which might change our adoption plans a little. DH and I have talked about it a little bit. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by it all, but going back to school is a longtime dream of mine that kind of got lost during TTC/3T and I'm excited to be revisiting the possibility again.

That being said, I loved the first day of school. I was completely self-absorbed and would get all dressed up hoping people would notice me.

  • I guess I'm back here now.

    ***Sort of PR/LR***

I have my follow up OB appointment from the D&E last week on Tuesday. I guess that's when we'll know if we are able to go back to the RE yet. Though, I don't think either of us are really ready for that yet. We both know we want to keep trying and don't want to wait. We also don't want to push ourselves too quickly. We're taking a vacation in Disney in 10 days to hopefully give us some happy times to remember our babies. We will probably make more set decisions about moving forward during vacation or shortly after. All of course dependent on how Tuesday goes.

QOTW: I dreaded going back to school from like 6-8th grade. HATED it. Otherwise, I just didn't like that I had school and it couldn't just be summer all the time.

    Anniversary

  • I go in tomorrow morning for another beta draw to see if my betas are still dropping and/or hit 0.  I've been a ball of cramps, headaches and mood swings all week.  Once I get back to 0 then we just wait for another period to start and then we can start IUI cycle #2 but right now I'm not sure I want to jump right into another one.

QOTW:  I was always excited about the first day of school.  There was something so nice about getting a fresh start each year, although that quickly faded.

  • @Aimothy - FX for a great lining! I'm sorry your hormones are making you feel the way you do. It's a shitty feeling

Update: Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Ugh. We were hoping to be approved by now. For any lurkey loos out there considering adoption...Get your background checks done FIRST!

QOTW: I loved the first day for the most part. I loved all the new supplies and having everything fresh and clean. I still love that part of it. In middle school and early high school I dreaded the social stuff. No matter how hard I tried to "be cool," I always missed the mark by thismuch. It was pretty stupid in retrospect, but I desperately craved acceptance from the "cool kids," and I thought a new year would bring new opportunity for that.

After 2 shitty IVF cycles and 1 loss at 6+2 (EDD 11/7/14), DH and I are pursuing DIA.

  • @Aimothy‌ GL at your US tomorrow! Sorry the hormones have been a nightmare, but big yay about your deductible being met!

  • @Aimothy‌ I'm with you in the met deductible, and apparently met it before my d&c. I'm not sure I won't be getting a huge bill for the ultrasound we had just to be 100% before the procedure, but peace of mind is worth it if the insurance doesn't cover it... @islandmonkey8‌ my appointment is Monday; I wish we had vacation to look forward to as we try to recover. @Xan921‌ I'm crossing my fingers that your numbers are behaving. I don't really have an update until we see the doctor to find out where we go from here. QOTW: I always liked the first day of school until that first day became in services.

Amazing timing Saturday of last week randomly.....solid CH.....obviously if we weren't 3T i would feel differently but part of me is having that holding out hope in the back of my head...which is stupid....idk.

QOTW: i really like it....loved school supplies minus always getting them for my birthday gifts...obvs loved going back to college every year to be with my friends
