I haven't seen this discussed on NBC, but Veronica Roth had it on her tumbler.

Underrated Book Project

There are several that I have not read, but Enclave is one of my favorites. I also enjoyed Dustlands series Blood Red Road. It looks like an interesting compilation.

  • Oooh, White Horse by Alex Adams, The Way We Fall, and the Mistborn series are all favorites of mine!

  • I can definitely say that the Kerry Greenwood Phryne Fisher books are well worth the time, though I understand they are a bit more popular/easy to find in the US now that the tv adaptations have been shown there.  (Kerry Greenwood's Corinna Chapman series are very good as well.)

Mary Stewart is a fantastic author!  I enjoyed the Arthurian saga, but much prefer her thrillers.  And she is very underrated, and almost never discussed.

I love the Emily series by L.M. Montgomery.  It's similar to the Anne books, but different, and far less often discussed.
