update on my mom
Hello ladies, I thought I'd give you an update on my mom's situation. In case anyone missed it the first time here is the short backstory:
My mom's father-in-law lived with her and my brother. Her FIL causes her so much stress she developed severe health problems and has almost had a heart attack on more than one occasion (my mom is only 48, so too young for that!). He crossed the line into being a danger when he tried to force himself on her one night while my brother wasn't home. She finally got the guts to move out into a geared to income apartment with my brother.
Today we all moved her into her new place and she is so happy to be gone! The only ones that know about the almost assault are me and my husband. She hasn't told my dad or brothers for worry of upsetting them but is planning a large family meeting to confront my grandfather about it.
The new place is a 20 minute walk from her work, which is great since her car is at the mechanic. My brother suffers from stress induced tremours and balance issues so we are all hoping he gets better now that the main cause of stress is out of his life.
My mom is looking forward to being able to wear shorts at home without fear of someone leering at her and both her and my brother are hoping their illnesses go away now that they are happy and can relax.
