  The Shining.

  
  

  (For anyone curious about how my book is going, I have almost 5 stories done.  I wanted to have 10 done by August but life got in the way.  I wanted to have all of September to edit and format for Kindle, but now I'm going for Sept 10 as a deadline, and only doing 8 stories.  But the good news is that a lot of them ended up being 10 + pages long, which is longer than I thought they'd be for short stories, so the book will still be a decent length--probably 40,000ish words--even though there are 8 stories and not 10.  I think I'm going to put it on Kindle, Goodreads, and Nook.  If Kindle really outsells the other platforms I might participate in Kindle's Select program, which I think will give away my book for free every once in a while as a promotional tool.  So, that's where I'm at right now!)

  I'm working my way through the Elm Creek Quilts series.  The books aren't numbered but are written in sequence.  I read 5 books at the cottage last week but now that I'm home I have less reading time.

  Reading Book of life - Deborah Harkness

  Listening and almost done Born in Ice - Nora Roberts.  Debating on finishing this series or going to another audiobook... I have a few on there waiting for me.

  I'm reading The Giver. I can't believe I've never read it before! I'm really enjoying it. I will be picking up Landine by Rainbow Rowell at the library this week. I'm most excited to go back to work to be able to get more reading done

  Still reading A Discovery of Witches my eyes are too itchy to sit and read.  Stupid ragweed!

  All I can definitely say is that it's given me more incentive to get through the books. I had tried reading the first one since they had the series as part of my library's digital lending program, but I had issues with it downloading. So, I caved and bought the first two the day H, my sister and I went to the bookstore.

  
  

  I should add that Amazon did have them marked down last night to around $2 for the ebooks. Not sure if that's still going on though.

  I just watched the finale!! Not sure how I felt about it. I have read the first 5 or 6 books, but it's been a long, long time. The show definitely didn't follow them.

  Bill is just so selfish I hated him.  Sookie please Dr Kevorkian me, and give up your fairiness.  WHAT?  That was not fair at all.  Also, Jessica, get married before I die so I can walk you down the aisle.  Everything does not have to be about Bill.  What a douche!
