Re: Weekend Reading

  • I started and finished Isla and the Happily Ever Afer, then got through about 150 pages of Ruin and Rising.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • I couldn't listen to my audiobook over the weekend because Hubs didn't hear it from the beginning.

    My favorite Cake Wreck ever.

  • I finished Losing It by Cora Carmack and started Faking It also by Cora Carmack. I finished that today!

I neglected WIMOHB. I'm trying.  It's not even that I don't like it, I do. It's just so heavy. Literally and figuratively.

  • I finished The Empathy Exams (essay collection) and listened to several hours of Bird Box (horror) on audio.  But other than that I pretty much neglected everything in life to watch approximately eleven hours of Criminal Minds on Netflix.

  • I convinced DH to listen to Peter and the Star Catcher on our car trip and we are really enjoying it. We will finish next weekend.

Other than that my reading has been pitiful. :-(

    Totally.

I hadn't finished a book (other than on audio) since MAY. I plowed through Isla and immediately dove into Ruin and Rising, which I've picked up and put down about 3 times over the summer.

  • I finished Cinder, and I was very entertained but sad that it ended so abruptly.

I neglected HP and the Half Blood Prince.

  • What did you finish?  Outlander (finally) and Anna and the French Kiss.

What did you make progress on?  I made some good progress on Teardrop.

What did you neglect?  Cleaning and organizing my basement, I wanted to accomplish this over vacation, it was a reach goal but the mess will be there.

    my read shelf:

  • What did you finish?  I finished Into the Still Blue this morning.  It took me forever to get through this book.  I wish I liked this series more.

What did you make progress on?  I started Bedding the Billionaire yesterday.  I need a quick, mindless read right now.

What did you neglect?  Putting contact paper on the outside of Sophie's books is going to be the end of me.  Why did they invent this stuff?  Why not just make the workbooks sturdier?  Why put me through purgatory?  WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BUBBLES?

    my read shelf:
Jenn's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • What did you finish? I finished One Lavender Ribbon by Heather Burch. 3.5 stars. I liked the beginning and ending but didn't care for a good chunk of the middle.

What did you make progress on? Other than finishing OLR I didn't get any other reading done.

What did you neglect? My Harry Potter re-read. I'm not used to reading two books at once and I end up focusing on one (in this case the one I just wanted to finish already).

  • I finished The Weight of Silence. It was pretty good but I found it very predictable.

Ditto!!  I have been "reading" The Book of Life for almost 4 weeks now.  It's sad, I just can't get through it.
