Help me spend $$ on YA books
My library just received a generous donation to spend on books for our collection, so we've split it up between adults, children's, and YA. As the recently hired teen librarian, I now have $250 extra to spend on YA books this month (in addition to my regular book budget woohoo!). We get a discount of about half price for ordering through a certain company, so this amount will go a long way.
The library went a few months without a teen librarian, so it's possible some great books were missed over the summer. And even though I've only been here a month, I'm about to go on maternity leave any day now, so I need to pre-order some fall releases.
What was the best YA book you read this summer? What are your most anticipated YA books for the fall? I'm excited to spend this extra money!

I have really been enjoying Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer this week, and Fairest is due out in 152 days. I also was very entertained by the somewhat scary Enclave, Outpost and Horde by Ann Aguirre. Earlier this summer I read the conclusions to Leigh Bardugo's and Laini Taylor's series, and they were both excellent.
Within the last year, I've also read Entwined by Heather Dixon, a 12 Dancing Princesses retake, and it was entertaining too. Rebecca Ethington has a series that starts with Kiss of Fire that is somewhat entertaining but lacks on originality, and Dawn of Ash is expected this fall. I did a Beastly reread, and I consider that a very good YA Beauty and the Beast retelling.
