new home - in the middle of decorating from scratch
Hello All.
So last week I got the keys to my first home with my partner, we are so excited. A lot of work needed done and so our journey began. I chose grey with a bright red feature wall for the master bedroom (Red color of Passion) . The living room is chocolate feature wall with light brown on the other walls. Spare bedroom or "potential baby's room" is a lovely Blue and my favorite our hallway is Mint!.
What are your thoughts on B&Q and Ikea?. Gotten all my paint from B&Q but haven't gotten around to visiting Ikea since I got the keys for the house. I must make a point of going this week as we have zero furniture or appliances.
I still have to do the kitchen and bathroom but I will get around to it once our oak wood flooring is down which should be by Thursday. I am so excited to be moving in together. It is lovely to meet you all and I can't wait to share our decorating stories. I can't go to the house tonight as I'm babysitting partners little sister, It will just be him on his own. She is fourteen, so I may persuade him to let me go with. Also, Possible TMI here but has anyone ever gotten kinky in the middle of painting or whatnot? I'm thinking the house needs christened?
GL and Best Wishes with your DIY!?

How exciting! Congratulations. Although I bought my house three years ago, we are about to repaint the inside and I have no idea what colors to choose. We painted the outside about a year ago and turned it from a very faded pea green to a vibrant and colorful teal with coral accents.
I agree the house needs christening
