Our 10 year wedding anniversary is this spring (holy cow!). We want to do something, but nothing too extravagant. Originally we said we wanted to go back to Jamaica for our 10 year, but I don't think that's in the cards right now. Needs to be within the US and can be done relatively inexpensively. Vegas is out b/c I don't think we'd enjoy something like that. Also, this will be around Spring Break time, so nothing too "SPRING BREAK WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!" b/c I don't want to deal with too many drunk college kids.
Stuff we've already thought of:
Skiing in Colorado or New Mexico.
Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Annnnnd. that's all we've thought of. lol.
We're laid back and casual and definitely don't mind road trips (we live in TX). Nothing that focuses too much on food either b/c our diet is very strict for medical reasons so we wouldn't get to enjoy something just for the food. We like shopping, camping, music and love both the mountains and the ocean.
Any ideas? Has anyone been anywhere neat/fun that might be a little under the radar for spring breakers?

Re: Give me ideas for an anniversary trip
I have always wanted to visit North Carolina, we are big on road trips so we would probably drive around to different destinations like the Brunswick Islands, Charlotte, Raleigh, Outer Banks.
I've also wanted to visit Nashville and New Orleans. Those are on my bucket list.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad sperm"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you. I know you're bitter. I get it. But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!
I do love the east coast, but unless we find amazing deals, we'll be driving. I've driven up to NJ multiple times, but don't know that we want to spend 2 days in the car
CT/NYC/MA/ME are definitely on the long list though!
I hadn't thought about Moab, Kona! That might be fun! I wonder what the temps would be like..
I definitely want to go to Canada, NFP, but I think we want to stay in country at this point. That was high on our list at first though and we may revisit the topic
Thanks for all these ideas! They're ALL going on the list for now anyway!

Do you guys like historical stuff? We used to vacation in Williamsburg, VA every summer. We hit up Busch Gardens and did the whole colonial Williamsburg circuit. You're not far from VA Beach either if you want a relaxing day on the sand. I always had a great time, and I'd love to go back again sometime!

Love all these ideas! Thank you!!
Lucky - we do love historical stuff. Like, a lot. I grew up traveling the US as a kid (parents were teachers) and we visited TONS of historical stuff. I'm slowly getting DH to all the hot spots! We went to Williamsburg and the surrounding area 2 years ago on our way up to Jersey (road trip) though. I may bring it up again though because we do want to go back. And we'd have a free place to stay b/c we have family in Richmond.I do love Colonial Williamsburg though. When I was in 8th or 9th grade, my family went there for the 4th of July.. it is still my #1 favorite 4th of July ever. It was incredible. If anyone ever gets the chance to go there on the 4th, DO IT!
