the kid is at daycare

I really am doing okay! I teared up a bit but didn't full on cry.

I couldn't tell our daycare provider when he ate and slept because all I was thinking was, oh no my boy! but I called her and gave her the rundown when I realized what I had done.

i've pumped once and will again in a little bit. I do think I need another ice pack in my cooler. I could put the whole lunchbox in the refrigerator but I think I want to keep it close to me...eh i'm weird.

can't wait to see my boy later. we have dinner at the IL's on Tuesday nights and there is no way anyone is holding my kid! well maybe DH if he's lucky

Re: the kid is at daycare

  • Hugs! He will have a great day :) and enjoy your day at work. Snuggle with him when you get home!

  • Taking them to daycare is so much harder for us than them. There are days I hate being a working mom, but I know he is learning and having fun at daycare. There are some days that I want to just leave work early and go get him. I'm glad you did okay this morning, it does get easier!

I'm glad you are doing okay, and you are totally not weird about the breastmilk! I felt the same way and my kid was 11 months when I went back.  It seemed weirdo for it to be sitting casually in my lunch box next to my co-workers left over pasta salad.  Liquid gold needs to be treated more sacredly or something.

Snuggle that monkey good and hard tonight!
