Happy September!

Woohooo!!!
I love September. It means fall is coming, and I LOVE fall. I love the falling crunchy leaves, hot chocolate, hoodies, cool days and nights. Bring on the fall weather!!

How was everyone's weekend??
We didn't do much. Today we went to the last Crosscutters game of the season with DH's parents. The Cutters lost, womp womp. It was fun though. Then we went out to eat and I ate too much and have felt gross since we got home.
I have my first test tomorrow! It shouldn't be too bad. The good news is I have my position lab, then an hour break where I can study for my position lecture test. I have another test on Thursday in my exposure class then a test next Wednesday in my Ethics class. Oh boy!
I'm ready to go back to clinical. Friday was too much fun. hahah!!

  • Happy September!

I too love fall! Best season.

Our weekend was lazy. I did tonns of laundry but not much else I think. It's rainy here which sucks. We're watching Veggie Tales because out of the 4 kids 2 are teething and 1 is over tired from not sleeping last night.
  • @degrea how was oregon?  Where exactly did you go? I forget if you told us.

While I don't think I ever want to live there I love visiting the PNW!  Did you drink any Henry Weinhard root beer.  It is the best stuff ever and I want some right now but they don't have it out here. whaaaa

Echo! sometimes those weekends are the best (see previous post for me lol!) Its just nice to get caught up and take a breath.  I hope you have a lazy day today it sounds like you and the kids need it!

  • oh crazy story.  So DH texts me today says he has this friend from HS who announced he was engaged not that long ago.  Well today he posted pictures of his brand new baby... that they  had no idea was coming.  She didn't know she was pregnant.  I know there is that show and all but it is hard to believe that is real, but this is like someone DH KNOWS! crazy.

Can you imagine? Hey mom we are headed to the hospital I don't know what is going on, will update you ASAP.  Oh hey we figured out what the issue is.... you are going to be a grandma!

oh and can you help us get some clothes and a car seat and ya know someplace for baby to sleep...

    That. Is. Nuts

  • Lol! I have seen that show too and thought how is that possible? I could see 6 months maybe but after that come on.

I leave for Oregon this Sat. 9/6. Sorry for the confusion. We are looking forward to it. State 28 of 50 for me. We are planning on going to Mnt. St. Helens as well so I guess I could say 28 and 29 with Washington.

  • bahah reading fail!  Blame my silly brain

Ok so where are you going? AND find henry weinhard and drink some for me.  If it was $70 for a 12 pack on amazon I would have some right now.  seriously

  • I have no idea how you could no know you're pregnant. By the end the baby is like a ninja kicking and moving that you can't possibly not feel it? So weird to think about.
  • Plus also isn't your lack of period an indication? Although I guess done birth control gives you no period.

Aggie that is so nuts about that!!! I really don't understand how people don't realize that they are pregnant. I mean do they think they're just getting fat for no reason? And don't they feel the baby kicking or anything?? I couldn't imagine!!

    ETA:
I think my test went well, but I have to wait an entire week to find out because I only have that class on Tuesdays! Such torture!!!

Eh as someone with irregular periods I can see that aspect of not knowing. Especially if you habe some spotting in pregnancy. 3mo + no without a period is NBD

  • We are going to Portland, Mt. Hood/ Columbia River Gorge, Mt. St. Helen's and the northern coast. Should be a good trip. I will look into the root beer you speak of. I know we will be partaking in plenty of beer drinking while we are out there.

Yea like I said I could see not knowing for up to 6 months but after that come on. I guess anything is possible now though. People just cough and out pops a baby, Surprise!!!

Glad the test went well JLQ! Hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the weather this week. It is suppose to be hot here.

Your trip sound super fun, Degrea!!

I do not enjoy this weather. I hate summer. I wouldn't mind it so much if it wasn't so humid, but the humidity has been so high the past few days that I can barely breath when I'm outside.

So yesterday in the town next to my hometown there was a supposed school shooting at the high school and everyone was (rightly so) freaking out, and it turned out to be a hoax! Who the F calls in a school shooting as a joke!!! My little sister had done her student teaching last year at that school and she was really worried trying to find out what happened and then we finally find out nothing happened just some idiot kids playing a prank. This world is ridiculous.

  • That is a horrible prank. Yuck! Glad it was just a prank and not a shooting though.

  • Apparently it was a 9 year old who made the call in, from a  cell phone on a bus going home from school. Wow. just wow.

  • 9 year old. Oh My!!! At 9 years old I was more concerned with my seat on the bus and where my crush was sitting than making phone calls. WTF is the world coming too.

  • Oh wow Jlq.

I am in ce today. Save me.

  • Aggie how did your dr. appt go the other day?

I hope your CE wasn't too boring! how much do you have to do a year?

  • The appt was quick! Checked the hb and it was perfect he didn't say anything about weight so I guess that is good too. Had more blooddrawn. My next appt (the 30th) is the anatomy scan and marks the half way point :-O

CE was terrible today. Absolutely terrible. I only need something like 17hrs but this clinic is huge in ce which is good. So we go to 7- 6hr sessions a year through a local org and have one conference a year where I got another 12 or so. I could have gotten more but I was tired and knew I didn't need it!

  • Glad your appointment went well!! Can't believe how quick it's going, because I'm pretty sure you only told us a week ago you were pregnant. haha!!

Boo for boring CE! I'll need to do it when I get registered as a rad tech, and I think we need 24 hours a year. I'm not looking forward to it. haha.

  • That seems like a crazy amount of ce Jlq! Our lvts at work only need 6hrs and I need 15 by state requirements. Some associations require 24 which I find reasonable (and I clearly get more than that right now) but I am surprised that is required for you! Some ce is interesting but this one most definitely wasn't!

Happy Friday ladies I hope it's a good one. Dh is upstairs sleeping away right now. Makes it hard to want to leave the house :-)

  • Morning! Happy Friday Ladies. I can't believe that you are almost half way Aggies. Holy Crap! I guess time does fly. We leave for Oregon tomorrow morning. The flight is early! I hate getting up early for vacation. O well what's you gunna do. Maybe I will sleep on the plane.

I would have to do CE if I had my PE but I don't. It actually one of the reasons I don't want to get it. Who wants to go to boring a$$ conferences. Yuck!!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

  • it took me a long time to figure out what ce is.

We're down and out with colds here. My two boys are so terrible and the two girls I watch are runny nosed. DH and i have it too. We're hoping its not strep throat because its killing both of us to swallow.

    TGIF

I agree aggie it seems like you just told us!  But i always find other peoples pregnancies go so much faster than my own.
  • Haha sorry ce is such a normal phrase in my work I forget not everyone knows it. And I have talked about it frequently here that I thought you knew. Oopsie.

Degrea the conferences aren't bad and at a conference you can walk out of a session typically. It's this day long on one subject that is torture especially with a boring presenter.

Have a blast degrea I love that area :-)

  • i probably did know from here and i probably asked before too. My brain is all fogy from this cold.
  • I'm so tired. I had to be at the hospital at 7 today for my clinical so I was up at like 5 and I'm not used to getting up that early. I have to work 5-9 tonight yet so I'm liked uuuuggggghhhhhhh.
It was a good day at the hospital, though. I got to see a lot and do some positioning myself so that was pretty awesome.

Aggie I agree, it does seem like a lot of CE. I looked it up and it's actually 24 hours every TWO years. hahah! Ooops! I knew it was 24 hours. So 12 hours each year then. That's not terrible. I think it's because technology changes so much they want us to keep up on it.

Degrea have fun on your vacation!!!!
