What is everyone up too? I am spending the day in the kitchen making various things.

Fresh french fries, brownies, and fresh bread to start. I need to finish the laundry, clean the bedroom, and scrub the bathroom. We'll see if those things happen.

Right now we're hanging around the house. We started watching a movie, but I want to get out. We will probably go for a drive in the one nature park. I need to cook and put laundry/dishes away. Later tonight we have a dinner at our Aunt's house. Our cousin and his girlfriend wanted to see everyone and requested a special gathering. Everyone is suspecting the announcement of their engagement. We shall see...

I'm still at my parent's house, I leave in the morning. Today I have to go buy a bathing suit (none of my old ones, especially tops, fit) because I'm going to my uncle's house for a swim/bbq tonight. Hopefully bathing suit shopping isn't too traumatic at 6 months pregnant haha. That's about it. It's been a tiring few days here. My sister had her baby Thursday evening, so we've been visiting her in the hospital every day (she had a c-section) and she should be coming home tonight. My new nephew is pretty darn cute if I say so myself

Made zucchini tots and turkey with bacon sandwiches for lunch. I was up early so I finished a Halloween dress for Lily. Thinking of taking a nap since she is. I'm caught up on laundry. But I need to wash sheets and mop the floor.

I woke up ambitious. I have been fighting allergies for the past couple of days. I had a plan for lunch. Then I realized I don't have enough bread. So I tried to make bread. Well its chilly here and it needs to be warm to rise. So I put in the oven without turning it on. Then later I turn on the oven to preheat it to cook. FAIL.

Picture 2-I turned on the stove to boil tea for sweet tea. I turned the wrong one on, so I melted a spatula on the pan.

Picture 3- I follow the recipe for brownies. I realized that I used the small pan and should of used the large pan. It said that right in the directions. So the middle was gooey and the outside is slightly burnt.

I think its safe to say that I should stay out of the kitchen with my cloudy brain, and just sit here.

I am home with little J. D and A went to that BBQ that I was not do excited about. I am glad he still went even though I refused. I am happy to be home relaxing. I had a wedding this am then went and saw the chihuly at the gardens. The glass was a lot cooler than the flowers. Although I did like the lily pads.

Jen your cooking reminds me of my husbands. Haha

The dinner at our Aunt's ended up not being an engagement party after all. Our cousin just wanted to gather all the family together like old times. His mom bought chicken from a restaurant and everything. We all thought for sure there would be an announcement. My husband called his cousin to clue him in that we were all expecting something and our cousin called his mom to set the rest of the family straight. He promised my mil it is coming though. We will be waiting.

Lol, that sort of happened to us (the engagement expectation). We went on vacation and when we got back P called his parents to ask them to go out to dinner with us. Just because we hadn't seen them in awhile. Well I guess his mom was thinking we would have an announcement so she called and invited his sister and her family out to dinner with us. And all evening at dinner they kept asking us if anything was new or we had anything we wanted to share since we wanted everyone out to dinner. We finally clued in. Haha. We did get engaged later that year.

That's all quite funny. I went to a labor day picnic. J doesn't really like going, since he's not a fan of my extended family, but he stuck it out this year, which I was really proud of.

I'm sorry about your baking attempts Jen. My mom's friend one time melted the spatula into rice crispy treats...

Spent the day yesterday at the house.

I thought about Jen yesterday. Pulled the crockpot out yesterday. There was a zip lock full of Equal in it. Now who puts a zip lock full of Equal into a crock pot for storage?
