I know it's a holiday, but...
Weekend highs
Weekend lows

Re: Manic Monday
Lows...probably the BBQ at his aunt and uncles. Food was just ok and it drags on forever!
@s517 - Those horses are HUGE! I saw them at Busch Gardens years ago. Crazy
Highs - was a good weekend! Decorated the nursery (will probably post pictures later), got to see Amanda, won a free 31 bag gift from Jeff's work wife online, had way too many crabs (that's a high in my book). It was even civil between my sister and me yesterday. She keeps buying E clothes, which I really appreciate it, but MAN I wonder if she'll wear all she has before we out grows them!
Lows - I should start this by saying Jeff has this talent for dealing with people. I don't. He can make the most disgruntled costumer service people happy. I seriously don't know how he does it. It's the accent I think.
Now for my low - I ordered 2 doz crabs Sunday for Monday. Figured we'd go pick them up, pay and be on our way... nope. It was at Chris' Crab Shack outside NE. We go and there's a girl ordering at the counter. It's fine, but it's outside, 85 degrees and I'm 9 months pregnant. Guy behind the counter saw us, but after she orders her 2 doz, he keeps talking to her. About cooking, and crabs and where he grew... OMG I JUST WANT MY CRABS! I'm waiting and getting bitchier and bitchier. Jeff HATES when I get this way, but SERIOUSLY it's a big pet peeve. See what we want and then you can go back to flirting, I promise. Mind you - this isn't teenagers, it's 30 year olds. This is your job, not a bar.
I move over so he can clearly see me. Jeff goes to the car because I'm being a "bitch". Whatever. Finally I see a girl at another window texting. Does she ask me if I need anything? Nope. So I ask her to get my order which should have been done 30 mins ago. She tells me this guy will handle my order soon. No, he doesn't care. I almost asked for a manager, when the girl's order is done and he FINALLY knowledges us (Jeff came back). Jeff thinks I'm joking when I say I'll never go back. I'll pay $9 more a doz for decent service.
Low - The BBQ we were supposed to go to on Sunday got cancelled. That's about it.
Highs- Pretty much the whole weekend. Low key Friday night with the Phish couch tour. Then Chesapeake Inn with our good friends on Saturday. We brought a friend for Chase for the weekend and they ended up eating too much candy from the vending machine and drinking too much soda, but they had a great time. His friend (oldest child of 5) has never been to the Inn and never had crab before so that was fun. We went to our beach house after that and it was a nice weekend with everyone.
Low- I got a call from the friends mom late Sunday night that she was taking him to the ER because he was broken out in hives and his face started swelling. We think he was allergic to either the crab he ate or the blueberries he had 2 days in a row. Neither of which hes ever had before.
Yeah I feel bad for the kid. They dont ever go out to eat, but with 5 kids Im sure that isnt the easist task to take on. I get the impression that the practiclly live on processed foods and junk. The cheaper and easier the better. Plus the price of both blueberries and crab are crazy and they not in a good financial situation at all.
Thats why I thought it would be a good idea to get this kid out around adults and take him to eat somewhere really good.
@mrsskiz - I can't imagine 5 kids. When I watch things like extreme couponing, yea you can get so much food cheap, but like you said, it's junk.
I'm also spoiled with my blueberries. I have no idea how much they are lol. I eat them by the pint in June and we still freeze 5-7 gallons. We got crabs this weekend and holy mother, they are $$. He's lucky he can get out with you guys. Just sad he had a reaction! hopefully he doesn't stop trying new things because of it.
