  • Dear A,

Every Sunday you are told to bring down ALL of your dirty clothes from the week. You brought down 2 shirts, a pair of shorts, some underwear, and 1 sock, even though there should have been a weeks worth of laundry. So when you started yelling this morning that you had no clean socks, I had great joy in watching you having to put on a dirty one.

You're lucky I do your wash, so start bringing your crap down-

  • Dear self,

Why won't you stop sneezing?  This is not your allergy season.  STOP IT.
  • Probably more of a confession - I dropped nutella on my shirt this morning.  I tried to clean it up, but you can still see it.  No way I was going back upstairs, so I'm still wearing the shirt.  I've stopped caring completely.

    ----

    Dear Family,

Even though E CAN be away from me doesn't mean she will be, besides when I'm at work.  Stop saying you're taking her to NC or over night.  NOT HAPPENING.  Looking at you sis, I won't even step in your house, let alone let my baby sleep there while you smoke and everything else.  NO WAY.  Let's see you come to my house and visit first, but I don't see that happening since you've only been over twice in 3 years.  Also, if extended family want to see her, they can come here or wait until we go down for Christmas.

    Love,

    Mama bear

  • Just once can we take our cars to the shop without having to spend $500-$1000?????  We took my car in for an oil change before our road trip, and OF COURSE the brake pads are low.  And OF COURSE the battery needs to be replaced.

Because they look for "issues" and lie. I just got all fluids changed and they said I needed dif fluid. No, no i don't. It was just changed. They look at your miles and make shit up. Take battery to auto zone, they will check it for free. Brake pads are cheap.

  • My mechanic is actually one of the good ones.  He only ever tells us stuff that is absolutely necessary and doesn't try to sell us a load of crap.  And he usually gives us a pretty good deal.  My ILs have been going to him for 30 years.

If I went to Jiffy Lube, then yes. I would totally think that they're trying to sell me a load of crap.
  • I'd question him if he's really charging you $500 for brake pads, a battery and tail light.

  • WTF school district. It's September, you've had all summer to get your ish in order. C'mon now.
  • Whine - One of the major systems we use at work went down this morning for about 2 hours.  We happened to have a work group meeting this afternoon and someone brought up the need to create "downtime procedures" if this happens again.  I find this so annoying.  Look, I'm not saying I sat around and did nothing for 2 hours.  I was perfectly capable of finding something else productive to do.  But because other people aren't able to do so means someone else has to create these procedures..?  Judging from my manager's face after the suggestion was made, that someone will more than likely be me.  Sigh.

With your district, I'm afraid to ask...

I got the break down when I picked it up... it was brake pads and rotors.  Parts were $270, labor was $220.  He has every part written out with the cost.
