    First kid free weekend in 7 months! Again 7 months.... and I start my freaking period today... I was completely blindsided by this since no symptoms came early, and I am not normal since my second kid. Completely frustrated with myself...

    My grandma died yesterday and I don't know how to help with arrangements, grieve AND still be a parent. Parenthood doesn't allow you to hide in a corner and cry. Life sucks sometimes.

    So sorry to hear this. It is hard to take time for yourself (when you're sick, grieving, etc.) when you have little ones.

    I have a meeting this afternoon and I am so nervous because I'm not done with my project that is due next week. I've been saying there was no possible way for me to finish for over 6 months because it's a huge undertaking that at least 2 more people should be working with me, so it's not like they haven't heard any of this before.  I just hate that I have to say I'm not done with something.

    A friend of mine just had her baby within the last hour.  Emergency c-section.  She was 28 weeks pregnant.  The baby is 2 lbs. 14 oz.  Both mom and baby seem to be doing ok.

    My dog reinjured her eye and perforated the cornea this time.  We're going to have her eye removed because it more than likely can't be saved.  :o(

    When I finally get pregnant again, and stay pregnant for longer than I have so far, I am going to post a confession.
    And my confession will be that procreation sex is getting old, so I'm not going to do it anymore.
    But for now....procreation sex must continue.

    Glad they are both doing okay! DS was born at 31 weeks and was 2 lbs. 2oz. I had preeclampsia. I imagine her little one is in the NICU? If so, she will need a lot of support. It was a rough 2 months for us until we got DS home, but he is 3 YO now and doing great.

    @packfan20 I am sorry for your loss. That is the hardest thing when we want to break apart, but we have to remain strong because of our children needing us. I hope there is someone who can help you through this tough time and give you time to grieve. You and your family are in my thoughts.

    @RevJen so sorry about her eye! I can't imagine having to make that decision!

    I went shopping with mil today. I need new work clothes but refuse to buy clothes with her. So I will go back on my own next week.

    I just applied to sub at the elementary schools in town. I'm terrified that I'll be horrible, but I can't think of anything else to do that will let me keep the flexibility I want to have. I want to contribute some financially and still be able to be on the kids' schedules. A classroom of kids scares me though.
