Hofsee Re: TV antenna

@hofsee  What is the square antenna you use to get local channels?  I remember you posting it at one point, but can't find the thread for it.

Would you still recommend it?

Re: Hofsee Re: TV antenna

  • Yep, we like it.  It's called the Leaf:

Depending on where you live the channels you pick up will vary.  But we are able to get local news, etc. with it.  Can't hurt to give it a try and see if it works for your house.  If not, you can always return it to Amazon.

Also... I'm not tech savvy at all, and I was able to get it hooked up to our TV without my H.  It just plugs in and you're done.
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • Forgot to add: we don't hang ours on the window.  We just sit it on top of the DVD player and it picks up stuff just fine.

  • Thank you!  We live in BFE, so I'm hoping the 50 mile range one will get far enough to catch the nearest city's channels.

  • You can check on the FCC's website (http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/dtvmaps/) what kind of reception you can expect to get. we looked there after we tried and returned the Leaf.

Our house gets extremely poor reception this site basically said we needed a roof-mounted or attic antenna, we bought one...it didn't work...I'm working on sellng it.

  • Thank you @gdaisy09  It looks like the channels we want to make sure we get are in the "strong" signal range.  So hopefully the 50 mile Leaf will take care of that.

I'm sure it will! everything fell into the moderate-to-weak or no signal range for us, we were hoping to get PBS (DOWNTON!) and a few others...we're stuck with comcast...c'est la vie.
