And yet every other week there are expenses popping up that I just can't get it paid off quick enough!

In Nov we were at 18000 and now we're down to $400!
I will love you for you, not for what you have done or for what you will become

Re: So close to debt free!!!

  • You are so close!!!  No matter what comes up, you have still made great progress and $400 is minimal in the grand scheme of things.

lots of hard work, home cooking, not going out anywhere and saving gas money, being VERY strict with our budget, not buying anything.

Thankfully my mom buys us lots of clothes and diapers for the kids (not because we ask her to, she finds great buys and can't pass up spoiling her grandkids) so that took a huge chunk of money out of our budget to send to debt.  For christmas we bought one gift for each kid and grandparent.  That was it.  And then we returned DS2's gift because he wasnt' into it (he was only 18 mo and other family members bought him gifts he really enjoyed).  It's been a very tight year.  But it's awesome to see the fruits in our labors.

Our min payment on the last credit card when from $150 to $35!
I will love you for you, not for what you have done or for what you will become
