Thank you.

Do you do anything to commemorate September 11th?

Re: QOTD 9/11
I was a freshman in college and having a bad hair day. My class started before the attack and all I was thinking of was how bad my hair looked. Then we got the news and my professor immediately ended class. I spent the rest of the day feeling guilty for being so superficial. That is always my first thought on September 11
We are asked to address the attacks with the kids every year. It makes me so sad that they no longer understand the severity of the attacks and how it effected us, partially because their entire lives have been post 9/11. I am actually thankful that I am not working today so I don't have to talk about it. I get a little more emotional every year teaching about today.
It's been interesting to see the amount of coverage in the area since I'm only minutes away from where the plane hit in Pennsylvania. They did some sort of service at the memorial site today I believe.
I did also find out that they have a memorial at my old college. http://upj.pitt.edu/heroesmemorial
