Mockingjay Trailer

Thoughts?

I didn't like this last book and from the looks of the trailer, I'm going to be indifferent about this movie. ESPECIALLY because it's TWO parts. Ugh.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

Re: Mockingjay Trailer

  • The special effects seem pretty good. I like Julianne Moore, so I hope I enjoy her performance. (Does her hair look blue? Maybe it's my screen...) I do not remember Effie having her head shaved in the novel, but it's surprisingly poignant onscreen.

My least favorite part of the beginning of Mockingjay was how sluggishly it moves because Katniss is shell-shocked. She's depressed, disoriented, and so are we as the reader for many chapters. I think they'll portray that more enjoyably(?) in the movie. *shrugs* I'll definitely go see it.

  • That's what I'm hoping too, @InLovewSB. I wasn't a fan of the book, but I think that the movies have a good chance of matching up with more of what I wanted to happen. I'll see them regardless because I love Katniss and Peeta and I'm curious how they're going to set up the end of the story.

I think the streaks in Julianne Moore's hair are grey/silver.

  • I really wish they weren't splitting it into two movies. The trailer felt a little dull to me.

  • It lacked the boom I was expecting.  I think they'll struggle with splitting it into two movies.  The book itself isn't the best of the trilogy.
