  • If I never hear the phrase 'boots on the ground' again, it will be to soon.

And let me clarify, it's not the sentiment, just the phrase that bugs the shit out of me.

People need to teach their children from an early age that covering yourself is cologne or perfume =/= bathing.

  • I am shaking with barely suppressed rage at the moment. My co-worker (and office mate) just made the most ignorant, hateful, prejudice comment I've ever heard someone say in person, and I've officially lost every speck of respect I've ever had for her.  I honestly don't know how I'm going to continue to work closely with her. I am so beyond angry it's not even funny, and I have no idea what to do about it.

Ugh, I'm so sorry.  I had that happen recently and it was one of my friends.  I'm still struggling with what to do about it and it's been at least 6 months.  Can you leave the office for a few and grab something to eat or drink? Or go for a walk? Go blow some steam off if you can.

Dude.  I do not have a poker face.  I would've been all over that.

I actually feel nauseous and it wasn't even directed at me, but it literally makes me sick that there are still people in the world that can just be so hateful. Especially when those people have kids.

  • My sister is moving to NC on Monday and I'm 100% in denial. Also, my kick ass coworker just broke the news that he found a new job elsewhere and is leaving in 2 weeks. I hate life right now.

  • Today is my niece's 2nd birthday. I was gone 6 months and she doesn't know who I am. Of course, to be fair, I was absent for the last 25% of her life.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

One of my co-workers is having some fantastic things happen to him career-wise.  We work on a lot of the same projects, and sometimes I'm the task lead and sometimes he's the task lead, and while I should be happy for him (none have been pick-him-or-pick-me situations) I feel like I've been left behind and I don't know why.

One of my PMs has some ideas, and they are non-work related things I don't want to think my management team considers when giving assignments/promotions/accolades.

I'm right there with you. I like to be busy, but I have completely overloaded myself and it has left me totally frozen.
