Re: Relationships of FB

  • No. I never mention my husband in a status unless it involves what we are doing. "Beautiful day for golf -- with Ryan *****" I don't post on his wall "I love you so much babe!" I call him.

If you mean single, it's complicated, in a relationship, married ect then I don't mind them as long as one person doesn't change theirs constantly. If you are engaged or married and you change it to it's complicated, I will judge you. Keep that shit off FB, you're making it worse.

I defriended one girl because she posted on facebook about how her and her husband were getting a divorced and she was heart-broken.  That would have been fine, except that in the comments, she wrote how he was packing his stuff as she typed.  Seriously?  Can't even let the man get out the door before you start sharing your relationship problems?!

Wow. So when your friend was going through an absolutely dreadful emotional moment, you defriended her because you thought that sharing was tasteless? That's pretty mean. Maybe she was all alone and reaching out for some support.

Do you also defriend people who post birth announcements from the hospital? They can't even wait until they get home before sharing the significant life-changing event?! Or does this only apply to bad news?

  • Relationship status as in "married" yes, as in "my DH is the most amazing DH eva" no.

We have a friend who CONSTANTLY posts about how WONDERFUL her husband is...he doesn't even have Facebook. It drives me nuts.

My thoughts exactly!!!!!! Going through a divorce is a horrible, painful experience. So many emotions, highs/lows. I needed tons of support through mine.
