Announcing ideas?

So, SJS asked if we were going to tell my stepdaughters in a fun way that we're expecting, so I need help coming up with ideas. I was thinking of getting them some Pandora bracelets with a charm but I don't think they are old enough (meaning responsible enough) to take care of them.

Also, my mom wants to get all our family together so that we can tell them all together. The only idea I've come up with so far is to give my grandma a coffee mug that says "#1 Great Grandma" but she doesn't understand English, so everyone else will know what it says before she does and I know that they will all get too wrapped up in the excitement and she'll just be sitting there like, "What the hell is everyone so happy about?" lol! I would do it in Spanish, but I think it translates funny and sounds kinda weird.

We put a helium balloon in a box that said "Welcome Baby" and had my dad open it as a birthday present. We have it on video it was so much fun!!! I think kids would get a kick out of it too!

My friend wrote a Dr Seuss like poem for Lilly to read about thing 1 and thing 2 and in Sept thing 3 was coming. We video her reading it. It was awesome. She got it right away. Then I had made them thing 1 and thing 2 shirts and took a picture for fb. I have a thing 3 onsie for E.

Idk how to go about the language barrier though...

I forgot to mention that we'll be telling the girls separately from my family. My next appointment is on the 15th and we're planning on telling my family that weekend. We don't have the girls then, so we'll be telling them the following week.

Could you do a little scavenger hunt around the house? Have them find little items and then they figure it out along the way?

When we announced to our parents, we sent them a book with an ultrasound picture inside. The note on the card said something to the effect of "Dear G&G - will you please read me this book in May? Love, Baby H" So, maybe a book or something similar they can open?

I think I figured out how we're going to tell my family. We always have dessert, so I'm thinking of getting this cake made and serving it as dessert. H loves beer and everyone knows it, so I think it will be perfect!
