Re: Thankful Thursday
@mana8503 have the kids gotten to see a picture of her yet? I was wondering what they thought, and wondering how excited Lily is:)

I'm thankful for basic stuff today

Random - but how has your milk supply been since you started pumping and working?
@mana8503 its been okay. my biggest issue is that I had no idea how much he was actually eating to send to daycare. My aunt is a LC and she did a formula for me and based on his weight and told me what I should be sending. apparently bf babies suck a lot harder than formula fed babies so it looks like he's starving and draining the bottle but really he's just a good sucker.
so once it was determined I didn't need to pump 20oz to send to daycare things have been a lot easier! pumping at work is fine, and my supply is holding up okay. it could be better. I think it would go better if I could pump once more but thats not going to happen. When i'm with Bear I feed him on demand so my boobs nurse more often than he would eat throughout the day at dc.
so I like to pump in the morning as I feed him. feed on one side and pump at the same time on the other. that feed happens right before Ben takes him to dc. after that I try and pump at 10, 1, and 4. depending on my meetings it will vary. I can really easily not notice that i've skipped a pump which isn't good. one day its okay but doing a lot and it will hurt your supply.
I pump every work day, and friday's pumped milk gets used Monday at dc. I've also started pumping once or twice over the weekend just to keep my supply up and be able to freeze.

I understand where she's coming from but it would be one picture, not daily pictures!
and she continued her family with someone else, so he certainly can too...silly.

I'm thankful that rehearsal went well. M walked down 2x with my sister. She warmed up pretty quickly to everyone.
@mana8503 That's crazy for biomom to say that especially with all the effort you guys put into just talking to the kids. That sucks...you guys don't need extra stress right now.
@amccul20 how many ounces is Bear taking in a bottle at daycare? Logan drank 4 6-8oz bottles of BM at daycare at his peak before we introduced foods around 6 months. Which I was worried was too much, but the doctor always said you can't overfeed them and he's always been in the 70th percentile for weight. Glad you are able to pump at work....that can be so stressful!
MIL keeps saying they should have brought them up.... And I wanna say um yea! But her H said they can't handle them that far. Whatever that means.
