Happy Fall!

Today it's officially fall, yaaaay!!! I love fall. It's my favorite season. Usually the weather is good and the leaves change colors and fall, you can wear sweaters and warm comfy clothes. Just love it.

How was everyone's weekend?
We didn't do anything. We were supposed to go to the fair, but DH complain so much about going we didn't go. I worked yesterday and survived my last day of mandatory on call! wooho!! No more on call days for me!!! Unless I volunteer, which is not likely to happen.

I have a test and quiz tomorrow in my classes. What fun. This week at clinical I'm in image pickup, which is like making discs and doing paperwork so no actual taking x-rays for me, booooo.

Re: Happy Fall!

  • Happy fall. I like fall. I really like the changing of the seasons. I have already made pumpkin bran muffins in honor of fall. :-)

This weekend was alright nothing exciting. Dh is swamped so that means I am kind of left to my own devices. We did go look at baby furniture and I think we found what we want. Yay.

I haven't been sleeping well at all. Between stress from work and pregnancy insomnia I was awake for 2 plus hours last night. Grr.

  • Happy fall indeed! I love it! I can't wait to bake all things pumpkin! I'm already embracing the soup season and have made a few amazing soups. Today its beef stew. I am also making applesauce at the moment. So good! LOVE IT!!

Our weekend was good. DH worked saturday and Sunday we went to his aunts house so he could build a fence. It sucked not getting much done around the house but that's life.

Aggie - I always joked that pregnancy insomnia is prep work for a new born....or a baby in general. DS2 is almost 9 months and he is still getting up 2-3 times a night. By this point I believe ds1 was down to one time a night and was sleeping through by a year. It's not looking likely for this guy but we shall see.

    JLQ - hows your floor?

  • This may get me flamed, but I hate pumpkin! And I dislike that it takes over everything during fall.

Echo beef stew sounds sooo good. The floor is ok, I think sole tiles need replaced as does the wood trim behind the toilet so we'll see how long it takes the landlord to do that.

Aggie yay baby furniture!! But boo insomnia! I had that last night as well though since I'm not pregnant it's not as bad I'm sure.

  • Oh i love pumpkin! But I dislike all the pumpkin spice flavors. That isn't pumpkin people and I am not fooled!

Eh the insomnia is what it is. I don't think it would be so bad if I wasn't dealing with work right now. Speaking of that please say a prayer for me today. I am meeting with my boss this morning. I feel ready but at the same time I know I will probably cry at some point because that is what I do when I get into a personal conflict. And then add in the hormones. Oyi!

I might have to make some butternut squash soup today yumm.

Good luck with the floor Jlq. And it's ok to not like pumpkin. :-)

  • Oh Aggie, prayers coming your way!! I also do not like conflict and cry as well. I cry almost anytime I have to talk to an "authority" figure about something, especially if it's not something good or is just something that's been weighing on me. I will pray for you to have a constructive, tear-free meeting with your boss!

  • Good Morning Ladies! How is everyone doing today? I had a meeting in Syracuse yesterday so I was MIA. My weeks was good. The house is 90% clean and my scrapbook is all caught up. Yea! I am having girls weekend at my house this weekend so the house needs to be clean. We also went into Buffalo to help my parents replace their microwave. The Bills lost so that was a downer.

I like pumpkin desserts, like pie and cheesecake. But I don't pumpkin bread or pumpkin flavored stuff. I do love fall though. The weather is my wheel house. The clothes are comfy. The leaves are pretty. And apples. I freakin love apples!!!

Hopefully the water corporates in your house this week, JLQ!

Boo not sleeping. Hope the meeting goes well. I am generally not a crier unless everything is working against me. Hormones, over tried, etc. good luck there is no shame in crying!

  • Thanks ladies.  It went quite  well. I didn't cry and said my peace and left.  Then after that the other Dr quit so the whole situation was resolved.   It is such a relief to have that done as the tension at work was almost unbearable on Fri.  Now its time for the rumor mill side of the drama at work. le sigh.

Good luck getting the house clean for your girls weekend! that sounds fantastic.

  • I'm glad your meeting went well, Aggie! Also I'm glad that it sounds like some of your bad stuff at work will go away. Boo for the rumor mill!! I hate that.
We're starting to hear some of the rumors at clinical and I just try to ignore it all but it's hard.

Degrea have fun with girls weekend!! That will be super fun!

I'm going home Friday after clinical to spend the night at my moms. Should be pretty nice, even though I have to come back here Saturday night because I work Sunday morning. booo.

  • I declare today a skip day and it does not need to be participated it. Go directly to Friday. Wait I can't do that? Well bummer.

What would you ladies think if we moved the group to Fb only? I was talking to nvc who said she woukd join in if it was on Fb and it made me think evita and a few others may be more active over there. I don't really care just tossing it out there.

  • That would be fine with me. The Facebook thing. It would be nice to get some of the girls back.

It would be nice to skip to Friday but a last we can not. Hopefully the day flies by and it is Friday at 5pm before we know it!!! Hang in there!!

  • I wish we could skip today! hah!
My period started yesterday and woke me up at 3:30am with massive cramps, so that is not a fun way for this day to begin. I had trouble falling back asleep so I'm exhausted.

I'm fine with moving to facebook! It would be nice if some of the other girls would come back then! I miss everyone.
