Re: Manic Monday

  • Highs- We got a ton of stuff done around the house for the house warming party this weekend. Chris finally agreed to let us get a moon bounce for the party too! We had friends and some of my family over for the Eagles game, and the weather was beautiful.

Lows- A co-worker got married (beautiful everything!) and my step-dad tripped on the edge of the dance floor and fell and hit his head on a table, then a chair. Within 5 minutes he was vomitting and we decded it was time to go home. Before we could even leave town he was lathargic and vomiting way more than I have ever seen and I had to call 911 in a gas station parking lot. My mom was freaking out. The ambulence took them to the hospital and Chris and I took the puke-mobile to our house to get everyone a change of clothes and give the hospital staff time to figure out what was going on. After the severe concussion diagnosis he was ready to go home.

He refused against the doctors wishes to stay over night and we ended up back home around 3:30am. It made for a very rough Sunday because we had another housework filled day.

Hes ok, but was very very quiet yesterday and he has a nasty black eye. Poor guy just cant catch a break.

  • Weekend high -- seeing Angels in America.  It's such a powerful show.

Weekend Low -- getting horrifyingly lost going to my cousin's baby shower.  With a GPS.  It's my own dumb fault for putting in the wrong city. In my defense, the city never comes up right and I couldn't remember what the substitute city was.
  • Highs- um, basically nothing

Lows- both Greg and M were sick this weekend. It started Friday night and lasted all weekend. We did nothing at all, except move from the bed to the couch.

  • Highs: meeting Eliza, and taking a nap yesterday

Low: a weird wedding on Saturday night,

  • High - H and I went on a little date on Friday morning and it was wonderful.

Lows - My boss's funeral was Saturday. It was so sad but a lot of great memories were shared and the Jack Daniels was flowing at the luncheon so he would have liked that.

  • Highs: The weather was great. On Saturday I took the girls pumpkin picking with some friends and then we ended up going to a marching band competition at our high school- the girls loved it.

Lows: SOMEhow Nolan's parents ended up at our house for dinner, uninvited, last night. Come 7:30 Nolan had to tell them to leave since they weren't getting the hints- hints being Nolan taking the trash out, me putting the kids to bed, us turning OFF the tv...seriously!?
  • @mrsskiz - Oh my goodness, what a scary situation!  I'm glad he's OK.

We had a pretty low-key weekend, so I don't know if I could really classify anything as a high or low.  Although, my cold starting going away, so that's pretty exciting.
  • Highs: Friday we went out to the mall and had dinner at Ruby Tuesday (where BIL works) I was on a mission to get a pair of baby converse for M to wear for pictures the next day.

Lows: I forgot said shoes at home, so whatever. M is normally a pretty happy baby, but he was miserable for the pictures so we didn't get any with him smiling. Some did come out cute though.

@amccul20  why was the wedding weird?

Highs...the wedding.  M had such a good time.  I can't wait to see the photographers pictures

Low...I get a cold when the seasons change and of course I got it over the weekend.  I felt like crap on Saturday.
