Target Red Card

Yes or No?

We shop at Target a lot and I know you can help local schools by using it. I'm debating whether to open one.

Thoughts?

Re: Target Red Card

  • Like anything else, as long as you pay it off it's good.  I have it and enjoy getting 5% off.  It stacks as a discount on top of everything else (coupons, clearance, sales, etc).  I also like getting free shipping with it.

  • Get a target debit card. Then you can get the savings, help a school and still pay out of your checking account.

  • Yes! The 5% off stacks with all other discounts. Get the debit or credit, whichever is your style, but if you shop at Target definitely get one of them!
  • You also get free shipping at Target.com. I do most of my shopping there and I run into problems with only having a $500 credit limit on the credit card.
  • Yes, it's great.  we have the debit card.  Between that, cartwheel, mobile coupons and manufacture coupons I save us a TON of money.  My monthly target trip I saved $25 :)

  • Yup o have the target debit and absolutely love using it. I'm always saving something even at the target cafe. Aldo don't forget to use the target cartwheel app on your smartphone to save extra.

  • Get the Debit card version of it and then you don't have to worry about remembering to pay another bill.  You still get all of the same perks, just less mail.

  • I just got the red card for the savings & also figuring if they have another security breach, that is the only card then that is affected, not my regular VISA card. I pay it off every month, so not an issue.
  • Thanks everyone! I already use Target coupons and Cartwheel.

I'm not worried about paying a balance in full each month. We already do that.

I'm leary on doing the debit but it sounds like most of you have that verses the credit.

  • I have the debit option, it's amazing on top of the cartwheel and coupons.  I also have a year of free credit monitoring even though I was debit user not credit card :)
