  • I have never had a massage, and I have no desire to ever have one. The thought of someone rubbing their hands on me while I lay on a table under a sheet creeps me out!

    I'm still you.

I had one, it was cheap, but still. He had a definite hard on and I left bruised. Awful. I was clothed, though.

Tudor that is horrible! Did you say something to the owner or were you more embarassed then anything? I don't even know what I would do in that situation!
    And I LOVEEE massages.

This makes me sad.  I always ask for the male therapist, because they seem to do a better deep tissue than females.

    Definitely try again sometime.

I didn't say anything... it was just awkward. I didn't bruise until the next day. It was really bad, though! My entire lower back was black and blue. It was not a pleasant experience.

  • @BruinsBabe33‌ I have had several people tell me that. I have thought about going to get a massage, but I talk myself out of going. I would probably go do a couples massage with DH though!

@TudorRose11‌ I'm sorry you had a bad experience!!

  • I think starting a wedding Pinterest board after you've been married for almost two years and calling it "The Wedding I Wish I'd Had" is a bad idea. On so many levels.

Wait, is this a thing? I hope this isn't a UO...

  • @Apollo11235 - I don't know if it's something just my friend did or if she had seen someone else do it. I can understand thinking after the fact that there are things you would have done differently (because I know there are things I would have done differently), but having a board where you essentially plan another wedding for yourself is just strange to me. Not to mention it gives me the impression that my friend regrets the first wedding.

Maybe not an UO....but definitely a topic that can get controversial.

  • So I guess this would possibly be an UO... I totally want to have another wedding / vow renewal.  I loved planning it the first time but I would like certain things to have turned out better (see: photography).  And to do something cooler than we could do the first time around.

I know that the most important thing happened, but the itch to do it again is still there.

Me too! But I would pick things that I would have never done as a wedding! I really want to "elope" in Vegas and have Elvis marry us or do a destination renewal. DH just laughs when I say, " let's hop a flight to Vegas and elope." He usually just jokes that he would have to divorce me first.

I love the idea of a vow renewal! DH and I are planning on doing something fun for a vow renewal with just immediate family for our 5 year anniversary. We are thinking about maybe doing a cruise and renewing our vows on the deck.

Agree unless it's a significant anniversary (25/50/60). My parents wanted to do one on their 25th, but my sister had just gotten married. They renewed their vows for their 30th. It was just done at mass and then we all went out to dinner with family and friends. It was very nice, and my parents were pretty low key about the whole thing.

Yep. There are things I would have changed about our wedding, and some of them still make me angry when I think about them. But I choose not to dwell on the wedding, or at least not what I'd do differently next time. I don't plan on there being a next time, so...
