I have PCOS, and have never menstruated consistently in my life. I had the gastric sleeve in January, and have had my period very regularly ever since. I went in for an ultrasound to see if I had any follicles, I thought that it was a couple days past my ovulation, but there was nothing to be seen. I had a blood draw for progesterone levels. They called today and said that I didn't actually ovulate. I am a wreck, it makes me fearful when we actually start trying. I was trying to not get excited about the chance.
Any pointers on not getting my hopes up?

Re: Ahhhh!
Hi. Are you seeing an RE or an OBGYN? Are you actively monitoring your cycles via charting your temps and/or using OPKs? That is the best way to know if you're ovulating. If you aren't doing this already, I highly recommend taking the tutorials on FertilityFriend.com and start charting. It's easy to do and will help give you a good picture of what's going on. You can do this prior to TTC and chart to avoid, so if you're stressed about it... start now!
Don't freak out just yet! Plenty of women with PCOS and irregular cycles get pregnant both with and without medicated cycles. Just take a deep breath and take it one day at a time. Even if you're not ovulating, there are multiple options (Clomid, Femara, injectables) that will help you ovulate if you get to that point.
Good luck!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.
