Re: Monday Accountability
1. Friday- $20 haircut+tip for me
Saturday- $208 Vet Apt, $18 food for dinner with friends at home
Sunday- $56 Dog grooming
2. $140 to savings
More will go to our house principle account this week/weekend
3. I love pumpkins/fall decorations, haunted houses, watching Hocus Pocus on TV 500 times, Cider and apples...I just love it all!! Wish I could get to Salem one of these years...we keep planning on going but we are always trying to save $ for something else.
1. How MM was your weekend? Expected- groceries ($111), DH needed a new headlight ($55), Dinner with DH's parents ($50), Target ($100).
2. Any progress towards goals? We ordered our mattress Friday afternoon- it's set to arrive on Saturday ($1,643). We also ordered a 8x11 rug ($979) and rug pads ($55). We just need to get a new comforter (king size even though we're getting a queen- we need the bigger size) and maybe a small bench for at the end of the bed. $500 was also put into savings from my paycheck this week.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time? Weather, pumpkins, mums, sweaters, boots, and football. Also making the girls their halloween costumes- it's chilly here, so they've opted to be Care Bears- found some cute ideas on pinterest and I should have next weekend (while they're napping) to get them done.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Bad. We went to the beach with my parents. I budgeted $180 for the whole trip, mainly for food and gas on the way down there and back (room was paid by dad's job since it was technically a work trip for him, and food while down there was paid by my parents). The good news is I stayed well within my budget for food and gas. The bad is that we spent an additional $130 on clothes for myself and H, plus birthday gifts for my little cousins. All were purchased on sale and/or great thrift stores, so I don't feel too bad. The birthday gifts were a planned purchase for next month, and the clothes were much needed.
2. Any progress towards goals?
Deposited another $500 into savings. Yay!
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
Everything! October is my favorite time of year. My number one favorite thing is getting a tiny, baby pumpkin for our doggy. She LOVES them and flips out when we give it to her. She throws it in the air, tries to eat it, chases it around like a ball. It is so adorable.
1. How MM was your weekend? Pretty good, all things considering. We went to an engagement party, so spent about $55 on a gift plus card/wrapping paper. We also filled up both cars with gas, so that was $70. Plus around $110 for groceries (we stocked up on paper products too). Finally, we spent $30 on bakeware organizers. We cleared one of our large base cabinets in the kitchen, and H installed 3 of those organizers in a row. We are using them to store platters, chip & dips, egg plates, etc - it's awesome! I can finally get to our platters without disassembling an entire cabinet each time I want to use one!
2. Any progress towards goals? We put $2,300 toward savings. We have also planned out our other house expenses/projects for the next few months so we can budget and cash flow those items appropriately.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time? My birthday is the week before Halloween! So I like that, lol
I also love pumpkins, cider, Halloween candy, etc. We are decorating for fall this upcoming weekend, and I think we'll get trick-or-treaters this year. Very excited!
1. How MM was your weekend?
Not too bad considering. We had planned for the fair, didn't get as far as we thought it would, but didn't go over budget either. Mom actually bought all of the dog food this week, so that saved us quite a bit.
2. Any progress towards goals?
Yes, since my main goal at the moment is to really crack down on spending and what not.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
Absolutely Everything! LOL.
1. How MM was your weekend? Not too bad. We went out for the football game $50, had friends over for dinner Friday $20 and gas $30
2. Any progress towards goals? Yes! Put $500 in savings. Felt really good.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time? I love anything haunted and scary, whether it's movies, walking tours, haunted houses. And I also really love handing out candy. H and I just moved into a neighborhood and I haven't lived in one since I was 6 so I was really excited to get to hand out candy last year and can't wait to do it again this year!
1.How MM was your weekend? Not too bad - we were at myrtle beach and stayed on budget there for once. Other then that we spent 30 on baby clothes and 20 on lunch.
2. Any progress towards goals?
200 to our "car payoff fund" and 170 to baby savings... too low but we do have a lot of expenses from not doing sinking funds like we should have.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
Pumpkin everything... thats about it. I hate the cold.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Good. Stayed within our budget. Spent $77 on groceries, $24 at Target, $16 at Petsmart.
2. Any progress towards goals?
Paid off our first credit card! Put back the $200 we had to borrow from savings.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
We bought the dog a Halloween costume and I got a scarecrow tabletop feature for my dining table.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Pretty decent. Stayed within budget on mostly everything. I did spend a couple of bucks over on a birthday present for a friend.
2. Any progress towards goals?
We got some extra money since DH didn't use any vacation at all last fiscal year at work. It was an unexpected sum of money, so we are keeping in our account to cover expenses while I'm on leave. If we don't use it by the end of December, we will use it for paying off debt.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
I love the scary things, pumplins, pumpkin picking, trick or treating, the costumes, corn mazes, you name it. I love taking DD trick or treating each year. I cant wait to take DD2 out also.
Okay. $102 on groceries, $85 at Sams, $80 family pictures sitting fee/deposit, $20 eating out/coffee.
2. Any progress towards goals?
I'm assisting with a program at work so my hours have increased. Loving the extra money!
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time?
I adore fall. So the colors, candy, getting the kids costumes, Starbucks PSL, etc.
1. How MM was your weekend? Great! On Sunday H spent $15 on hockey and $30 at dinner. I also spent $14 at dinner Saturday. I did manage to make an extra $25 on Sunday night by covering someones shift so that kept us well within budget.
2. Any progress towards goals? None this week and none again until Nov. 1st.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time? The leaves!

1. How MM was your weekend? Not good, took my parents out so they could help celebrate MW's birthday that was $70. I got my son and I hair cuts, he had an accident at the hair cut place so I gave both hair dressers a $5 tip so the total cost was $26. Over spent on groceries by $40. They also finally repaved our street so we should be getting our portion of the cost soon. We will have 30 days to pay in cash or they add it to our taxes.
2. Any progress towards goals? Put another $50 towards my credit card.
3. What are your favorite things about Halloween time? Everything except the haunted houses since I startle easily. The last one I went to though was nice since my now wife was hugging on me from the front and another girl I didn't know was hugging me from behind.
