No more

I caught the commercial for the no more campaign and I'm really happy that it exists. I think that it is a great movement and I'm excited to follow it and to do what I can to help the cause.

I am bothered that people seem annoyed that the commercials are airing during Sunday night football and are reacting as though it isn't a problem and they "shouldn't have to be subjected to watching this commercial because football players beat their wives." What are your thoughts on the no more campaign (a campaign with the backing of over 50 celebrities trying to end domestic violence and sexual assault)? And how do you feel about the commercials around during a football game?

Re: No more

  • This campaign has been running for quite some time now. It runs during most tv shows, so why not during sporting events? It also runs in print and before movies in the theater.

  • I think that it needs to be run to hit all types of demographics, and that includes sporting events.  Recently we see that there is a trend in football that there is domestic abuse, but that is likely because they are under the microscope.  The reality is that it can happen to anyone.  Awareness is a great thing.

Be the change you want to see in the world!

  • Why does it matter that it is run during football games? Of course it would be! It should be run everywhere. I feel like that's saying "why are they running a commercial about baseball during a football game?"

If you don't like it, change the channel.

  • @LooneyLife‌ this is the first time I've seen it!

I think it should be run all the time, too. It really makes me angry to see posts made about it saying it isn't my problem so I should ignore it. I know that there are always going to be people like that, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. His hashtags were so awful with it I reported him.
  • @BruinsBabe33‌ It started in early 2013. I think people are just more cognizant of the ads right now.

  • I haven't seen the commercial but I don't see what the big deal is about airing the commercial during football. It should be aired on every channel, this is a big issue that people need to pay more attention to in general.

  • I don't know if I've seen the commercials, but I don't understand why they would avoid airing it during football games. It's a cause that needs attention, and it will get a lot of attention during games.
