Re: Wacky Wednesday

  • My favorite cartoon was Inspector Gadget.  I loved Penny!

And as far as regular shows--I was from Southern Louisiana and every Saturday morning, after cartoons, they would broadcast this Cajun dancing program from "Randalls" and it would be a band performing cajun music.  I LOVED it.  I would drop everything and wiggle.

    Also, I loved Full House.

     "Live like there's no midnight."

  • The Cosby Show, Moonlighting, Family Ties, Growing Pains, Facts of Life, Charles in Charge (of our days, and our nights), Punky Brewster, Small Wonder, Out of this World...I could go on and on.

Not really a cartoon (although they did make a tradition cartoon), but I loved Fraggle Rock. And Jem. She's truly outrageous!

  • Favorite TV Shows: Full House, Family Matters, also a lot of Nick at Night shows like Mr. Ed, Bewitched, and Get Smart.

Cartoons: Inspector Gadget (I just had a conversation about this show yesterday with a bunch of my friends!), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Muppet Babies, Rugrats, Doug, Rocky and Bullwinkle
  • Oh I loved Snick when I was growing up.  Are you Afraid of the Dark terrified me though.  I still watched it.  I remember when my brother and I said one day, "Let's watch it.....with the lights off!"  OOOoooooo.
I also really liked You Can't Do that on Television.  I loved Nickelodeon games shows.  Especially Guts, Wild and Crazy Kids, and Legends of the Hidden Temple.

For cartoons, I loved David the Gnome, Gummy Bears, Duck Tales, Tail Spin, and Animaniacs.

    Ah memories.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
    "I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

  • TV Shows: The Cosby Show, Full House, Perfect Strangers, Facts of Life, Family Ties, Growing Pains

Cartoons: Another Jem fan here! Fraggle Rock, The Snorks, Pound Puppies, The Jetsons, She-Ra, The Paw-Paws, Tiny Toons

  • What were your favorite TV shows growing up?  My parents were super, super strict, so we were really only allowed to watch public TV.  That said, there were still some amazing PBS shows we loved like Square One, Carmen Sandiego, and Wishbone - also my grandmother would record Little House on the Prairie on VHS and mail it to us, along with a show called Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

What were your favorite cartoons? Again, super strict parents, but we were allowed to watch Inspector Gadget sometimes and My Little Ponies and one called Seabert about an ecologically minded little seal who saved the planet from evil corporations bent on destroying the planet.

  • What were your favorite TV Shows growing up?

I grew up in a pretty conservative home, so I was pretty limited it what I was allowed to watch on TV. My favorite shows as a kid though were Mork and Mindy, Bewitched, Highway to Heaven, Little House on the Prairie and a show called Rescue 911. I also really liked to watch Unsolved Mystery's, but the music creeped me out so bad that my Mom made me stop watching it.

    What were your favorite cartoons?

Hands down, Masters of the Universe. I loved He-man and She-ra. Also, I loved Inspector Gadget. I can actually hear the theme song in my head as I type this. I really enjoyed watching Loony Tunes too. :)

  • Ok, so this is embarrassing, but in addition to our cartoons and stuff for weekends, my sister and I were OBSESSED with Matlock whenever we had a week day off school.  We seriously had episode names memorized.  LOL!
