Complainers

I am the complainer today. Frontier is the most rediculous airline ever! $50 carry on bag fee. Also have to pay for a seat. On the kiosk it was $30 for anything not in the middle. I think the gate agent felt bad that I paid $50 for my carry on and gave me pitty and only charged $8 for an aisle seat.

Re: Complainers

  • I hate flying, but sadly, I don't see any other practical way to get some of the places I need to go these days. :(

  • I like southwest.
  • At least you get a free drink, free bags and sometimes free tv.
  • Sadly, Southwest doesn't go where I need them to go. The one time they did, it was cheaper to go United.

  • I hate flying. But I haven't flown anywhere domestic since 2007. Things were still included back then. And things are usually included international too.

I don't blame you though. That's ridiculous. But if the flight is 30 dollars cheaper than the alternative that doesn't charge, it wouldn't be that bad...

  • Wow, all those fees are absolutely ridiculous. Having to pay for a carry on?! For a seat other than middle? What the heck. I like southwest too. Free carry on and checked bags. And you just board and take whatever seat you want. I'm sorry you're having crappy flying experiences :( I actually rather enjoy the process, since I've been flying maybe once a month-ish for the past year or so

  • Spirit and Frontier will charge you for every single thing they possibly can! They have to make up for those cheap fares somehow. ;)

Southwest is my go to but I have flown on Delta a few times and liked them.

  • The fee is more expensive after you add in all the fees. Anyway this is a business trip so the company will eat that bad bag fee.
  • <3 southwest!!

    I hate frontier and spirit.
  • I hate security threatre....:(

  • Security is all part of it. Dia has gotten a lot better. They are building on a hotel, light rail station and recently a new bridge for security. I fly to Seattle regularly and it is one of the worst.

    Dia?

I've been through Seattle twice. Once for business and once for pleasure. Didn't think it was that bad. Then again, my home airport at the time was hell. The one I'm close to now seems to be a bit better.

  • Dia. Denver international airport
  • duh.....so not thinking. I've seen it on TV. Heard it's an interesting airport. Would love to go there sometime.

  • Yes, come to colorado. We don't have cruise ships. That might be the thing that holds you back.
  • I love southwest.  I was looking up flights the other day and saw frontier was the cheapest but then I saw all of their fees.  Crazy.  Plus almost every time I've flown frontier something happened.  9 out of 10 times we were delayed.  Sometimes it was only 30 minutes but one time it was hours.

I think the tired and almost due to give birth wife would hold me back more. :)

We have the "don't fly through Atlanta" rule.  Good things never come of it.

I don't know... I definitely think it would be the cruise ship... :P Tell Joy I hope she feels better!

I liked Denver. Not a bad airport at all.

At this point, somebody may die if I don't end up on a ship or away from work soon. Co-workers are seriously getting on my nerves the last two days.

I've got 10 days use/lose by Dec 31 sick time.  Beyond that, it's my vacation time (maybe 10 days by then?) or unpaid FMLA.  However, we have the freedom to work from home, so may abuse that for awhile.  I'm not complaining. :)

To give the short version.  I keep ending up with an area of responsibility that I don't want that's a no-win situation.  Another guy who knows more about the underlying technology volunteered to do an upgrade to it during Tuesday's meeting.  Wednesday morning I walk in and another guy on the team told the team lead he didn't want the other guy doing it and I needed to do it.  If they don't want the other guy doing it fine, but you shouldn't volunteer other people to do it.  Especially when that person is me.

Then today they had a mini-meeting to discuss the "project" which was really to dump their task list on me.  If you're going to dump it on me, I'll do it in the order that I choose to do it.  If you want to dictate a process, you do it.
