Hey there ladies, my husband and I are going to start TTC in December. Our window is kind of small to actually conceive due to my graduation/new job situation. My doctor (going to switch ASAP, because this one sucks) keeps telling me that it'll take around a year to get pregnant. What I don't understand is how or why? I haven't been on birth control in five years, and my husband and I are young(late 20's) and healthy adults. I've been taking prenatal vitamins, exercising, eating right and my husband has been doing about the same. She is just depressing me when she says, you'll be extremely lucky if it happens right away. Neither one of us have any medical problems or a major family history of anything. All of my sisters got pregnant right away with no complications. So why is she saying this? Is anyone else dealing with a similar situation?

A Parachute in an Oak Tree: A World of Love
"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you. I know you're bitter. I get it. But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!
I could have written this 3 years ago. Word for word. My husband and I are both perfectly healthy. We have unexplained infertility. I wouldn't wish it on anyone and hope your journey is short and sweet. It can take a healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant.

"You know you're in love when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr. SeussI wouldn't wish that on anyone either, I am very sorry! Is there anything you can do about it? I truly hope that is not the case for us, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking in that direction. Thank you!
