  • Yes! When I was in middle school / high school, my mom was a member of a local theater so we would go to a few shows a year. Rent is my all time favorite but seeing The Lion King on Broadway was really awesome!

  • I've never gone to a musical.  I'm not really sure if it's something I would enjoy.  I guess I'd like to go see Wicked because so many people say it's good.

  • I saw Mary Poppins when they came to MSU and it was fantastic!  The chimney sweeps were like up on the ceiling dancing and all kinds of crazy stuff.  Very cool.

  • I saw Beauty and the Beast in middle school. I was in Annie get your gun, guys and dolls, and Grease.

  • Yes, the local theatre group where I grew up was very well known and did a lot of musicals.  I saw them do High School Musical, Little Shop of Horrors and Seussical.  I've also seen the Lion King .  I liked Little Shop of Horrors because they managed to have a mechanical Audrey 2.  But then again, the Lion King was good too!

  • I saw Phantom of the Opera in hs, but I guess that's an opera. I think I'd like musicals more. I've been tempted to check out the ones at the community collage across the street.

I was an extra in musicals in hs, once upon a mattress (princess and the pea redo) and wizard of Oz.

  • I LOVE musicals. I did theater in high school, so I've been in a few. And my mom has done community theater all my life, so I always go to her shows. I've also seen professional Broadway and touring shows. My all-time favorite musical is Avenue Q.

  • I've seen many productions on Broadway. I am thankful that I live so close.

My favorites were Mary Poppins, Pippin, Wicked and American Idiot.
  • I've seen a lot. I can't name them all. I've been in the pit for quite a few also.

I actually don't really like musicals, I'm going to be weird and say I prefer operas. There is just something to me so opulent about an opera that is magical to me.

  • Jumping on the I love RENT bandwagon.  I also have a RENT pandora station and have seen the movie a billion times.  I got to see RENT live, once, about 7 years ago.  They toured with the originial Mark and Roger, it was amazing!  No musical will ever live up to it, I loved it so much!

I've also seen Wicked and The Book of Mormon.  I really liked both of those as well.

  • On Broadway--my mom and my aunt took me to see Aida and Titanic during two NYC trips. Titanic was interesting because they tilted the stage to simulate the boat. Aida was a favorite. And I found out years later that the man that played Roger in Rent was in Aida as well.

I've seen three musicals off broadway since Pittsburgh gets a good bit of shows in and isn't too far for me. H and I saw Rent (even luckier to have gotten to see the touring version with the original Roger and Mark) back in 2009. We went and saw Wicked in 2011 as my graduation from college present. And we just saw Book of Mormon two weeks ago. Loved it!

Avenue Q would probably next on my to see list if I ever got the chance.

  • @consciousdear88‌ I would love to see Avenue Q. I've heard great things about it.
  • I'm a huge huge huge musical fan. I've seen some touring broadway casts as well as just local productions.

I've seen: Phantom of the Opera (x2), Hairspray, RENT (x2, 1 local), Fosse (not sure that counts, I didn't like it though), Chicago (not local, but not Broadway), Annie, Book of Mormon, and Wicked (x6). I think that's it.

I'm (obviously) a huge fan of Wicked. It's my absolute favorite. I loved Hairspray and RENT as well. We would love to go see Avenue Q (heard such great things!)
