edited October 2014 in Getting Pregnant

If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude people, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC = 3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption OR have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What's going on, etc. Let's here all about it!!

QOTW: Has being 3T been a surprise to you or did you have a feeling that you might have trouble TTC prior to starting?

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

Re: 3T check in

  • No update. It's looking doubtful that we'll get to move forward with treatment before Christmas, so that sucks.

QOTW: I always had a feeling I'd have issues. I have been very irregular my entire life so it was no shock. Of course, I naively thought maybe, just maybe I'd get lucky, but deep down I knew.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

  • Waiting game for me now. I'm back at work today. I'm doing progesterone injections at night. Progesterone bloodwork on Monday and pg blood test the next Monday.

QOTW: Total surprise for me. I've always had regular cycles and have always been healthy and active. It did take my mom a year to get pg with both me and my sister though.

  • Sending everyone lots of love. I'm sorry about treatment @RockABye‌ any chance something could happen prior to? @abt8113‌ good luck! @ILoveRedVino‌ I hope the IM shots aren't bad!

I'm waiting to hear back from the RE. I don't know if I need a new referral or not.

QOTW: I didn't think that getting pregnant would be easy for me, but I did hope that after #1 my body would fix itself, but it seems to be worse now.
  • @bruinsbabe33 - not likely.. It's all because of finances. Just too many unexpected things have come up. Oh well. It is what it is.

WE HAVE SPERM!!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting to post this and we didn't do one last week :P

50,000 sperm have been set up in a freezer just outside of Boston and it sounds stupid but I already love them so much....especially since I thought we didn't have them at all!!!

Full steam ahead on the diet front. Talked to RE....from what I know....if I can get the BMI down to 40 we can talk...lower than that is best, aiming for the full 35 but when I bring the 40 BMI to her I know she will be excited. Rocking the southbeach diet so far too so I'm optimistic?

DH saw RE's Urologist and is going on Clomid.....interesting development they think it might help us freeze more sperm just incase.

So now we wait....and I bust ass to get this weight off.....ahh!

QOTW: DH got diagnosed with Kleinfelters during our second year of dating? and we have been together for 9 so I have always known that this was our path just didn't know the damage I was doing to the path on my end by being out of control with the weight :(

Yay!!  SOOOOO awesome about the sperm! Who knew you'd ever get so giddy over sperm!

You can rock this weight loss.  It definitely helped me to keep the eye on the prize...I could do anything if it meant I was one step closer to getting a baby.  You've got this!

  • @OceanHutt‌ I'm so happy that you guys have a sample to freeze! And that it's in Boston ;)

@RockABye‌ I would give you all the monies if I could.

@islandmonkey8‌ I hope your company doesn't switch insurance. Sending you lots if love <3
  • @OceanHutt - Woo hoo!
@ILoveRedVino - EEEEEE! I'm so hopeful for you.

Update: We had a 90 minute call with our adoption specialist on Tuesday. We are a little overwhelmed at the costs, but we are prepared and are moving full steam ahead. We ended up saying yes to some things that made me a little nervous, but after doing some research, I'm more comfortable. DH still won't budge on ethnicity (we're adopting full Caucasian), but 75% of the adoptions our agency is doing right now are full Caucasian newborns. I wish we lived in a more diverse area. DH sent all the supplemental paperwork in for our home study review.

QOTW: I always had a feeling but never a reason to justify it. I was put on BCP at 15 for having 9-day cycles. When we started trying, I was frank with DH about my worries, and we kind of just laughed it off. I'm glad we had the conversation though. It's made it much easier to move ahead so quickly with the decisions we're making to build our family. We've been on the same page for a long time about this.

FFC: ***PR NOT ME*** I am pissed at some people in my family for not giving me the heads-up about a pregnancy announcement on FB. My cousin is pregnant with #3 (I had suspicions), but I didn't even get the chance to hide it. And my sister "liked" the status. It's not like they didn't see it.
TTC #1 since Feb. '12. dx: "unexplained" IF
After 2 shitty IVF cycles and 1 loss at 6+2 (EDD 11/7/14), DH and I are pursuing DIA.
    11/17/2014 - ACTIVE AND WAITING!

  • Update:  We're taking a break from any treatments for a while; I'm not sure for how long or really if we'll try again or not at this point.  I had 600 units of follistim left that are set to expire in December so my RE let me trade them out for ones that don't expire until November 2015, so at least now we're not out that money if we decide to do treatments again.

QOTW:  I've always known I'd have issues even before I got my first period.  I've just always had this gut feeling something wasn't right.
