How to save money on internet?
My SO and I currently have Comcast for our apartment. We pay $85 per month for basic cable plus internet. We don't ever watch cable because we prefer Netflix, but we are stuck paying for it because it seems that Comcast charges more for just internet than if you bundle it with cable. I hate paying $85 just to have the cable sit there and only use the internet, but I'm in school and job hunting, so internet is a necessity. Our apartment is already wired for Comcast and Verizon, but I'm not sure if we are able to use any other options. CenturyLink isn't available in our area either. What do you use for internet only, and how much does it cost per month? TIA!
Re: How to save money on internet?
DH (who works on computers) says that Comcast has the best speed out of the three. If you use a lot of internet stuff (Netflix, etc) Comcast is the best
Anyway, could you drop them and just tether internet from your phone? Also, at one time, I found a website where you typed in your address and it gave you all your options for utilities, cable, phone, internet, etc. Maybe you could find that website? I just looked for it and I couldn't find it, but it looked like maybe whitefence.com did the same thing?
